June 17, 200916 yr PMDG MD-11 brake problem:The program is FS9 and I have the last update for FS9 (1.20.0055)When I have landed with Autobrakes on, sometimes the brakes will not go off....I turn the switch to off, but brakes stay on and then it is impossible to taxi.I use the pedals from CH-Products.I must say: mostly everything works fine, but somethings the brakes sticks....Is this a bug or what goes wrong?Richard
June 18, 200916 yr There is not a known bug in the simulation but autobrakes are a headache for many users.. usually due to something in the FSUIPC configuration or the game controller calibration. Tapping the "." key should release the brakes. Dan Downs KCRP
June 18, 200916 yr Are your footbrakes calibrated through FSUIPC? I asked as I've had numerous problems with pedal brakes if they are calibrated through FSUIPC, especially with brakes being stuck on. Phil Brown
June 19, 200916 yr I run into this every once and a while with the MD11. I 'll turn off the runway and sometimes the airplane will stick; I can apply full throttle and the airplane will not move an inch. If I set the autobrake switch back to the off position it releases and I'm off to the gate. It's rare but it only happens with the MD-11; one thing to mention is that the "brakes" message at the corner of the screen is not present. I use FS9 and this does not happen with the PMDG 747-400, 747-400f, 737-600 trough 900, or the LDS 767-300ER.I have the CH products yoke, rudder pedals, and throttle quadrant. the only thing that is calibrated through FSUIPC are the throttles, flaps, spoilers, and a few buttons on the yoke. The rudders and toe brakes are all FS9. Dan Schultz REX Latitude BETA Team Member https://rexlatitude.com
June 19, 200916 yr Are your footbrakes calibrated through FSUIPC? I asked as I've had numerous problems with pedal brakes if they are calibrated through FSUIPC, especially with brakes being stuck on.I use FSUIPC only for VATSIM and other add-ons and did not do anything in FSUIPC itself. So the calibration is in Windows XP and FS9 and the "dead-zone" is big enoughBut I must say: most of the time: everything goes fines, it happens sometimes only with the PMDG MD-11, never with the PMDG 737-800.The "brakes" text in the left corner of the screen will not disappeaer, even if I turn the autobrakes-switch off and on and off again, also the A/P is off, I try moving the pedals: nothing will help: I need full throttle to taxi a little, the only thing is to restart FS9.When I am online (VATSIM) it's not so nice if you cannot vacate the runway........No response from me the next week (holiday)Richard
