Featured Replies

Can I have some verification from users, that they are in fact using v1.20 of the MD-11 with the Vista64 operating system?

OK, I think it now works...Here's what I did:- After having FS9 installing smoothly with MD11 and integrating itself in Vista 64 I realized that something is wrong initially with installation of FSX, regardless of MD11.- I unistalled everything, and erased all references of fsx I could find in registry.- Reboot, right click on FSX DVD=>properties=>compatibility mode=>XP SP2 compatibility.- Then ran the setup as administrator and presto, FSX was normally installed on Vista 64.- However, the problem with MD11 persisted in that despite installing as administrator (and in XP compatibility mode), it was the same scenario with the in-game problems and Load Manager failing to load that I repeatedly described above!- I figured that since FSX has now been properly installed, any other problems must be pertinent to C++.- Instead of rerunning the install program of MD11 however to repair C++ I opted to fully uninstall C++- I then downloaded and installed the full free version of Microsoft C++ 2008 from the website- The MD11 this time loaded properly on FSX, the program saw all the 'dlls' from MD11 and asked for permission plus the Load Manager for FSXSo far, MD11 is loading properly and running!I will also begin installling addons to see how it proceeds and to do some experimental flights of course.I would also like to thank Paul Gollnick from PMDG support for his advice. Will let you know how this progresses!Konstantinos

Ok, good to know; now I will see if my downloaded md-11's .exe still works. I may have to purchase the extended download service to get this going.
