FSX - Triplehead2go - 4 monitors

Featured Replies

Hi,I just setup a computer(I7-920) with 2 graphic cards(GTX260). The first card has the Triplehead2go with 3 monitors(Identical) and the other one has a different monitor. The problem I'm having is being able to setup a view in my fourth monitor. If I play with only the first 3 monitors (Triplehead2go) it is realy great. But the only way I figured out to bring the fourth monitor is to play not in full screen, undock the views I want and resize them in every monitors. First of all when I do that I cannot play with high graphics because the cards cannot render. Second, I would like to have the same view I have when I connect just the triplehead2go + another view that I could choose. Could someone tell me what I do wrong please???ThanksSteve

Hi,I have a similar setup that works fine. I have a single 9800GTX+ 1GB [email protected] 6GB ram on XP64. On one head of the 9800 is the th2go 3820x1024 and on the other head a 24" 1920x1200. I am running PMDG planes no problems with fairly high graphic settings. The desktop is on the th2go and the 24" is 'extend onto this monitor'. So it is really adding the horizontal widths together.Don't know if that helps :(

according to maxymaxy , maybe you want to use only the two heads of a single 260, one for tripleHead2Go and other for your fourth monitor.I am hoping to do something similar in future, but even two monitors on my current 285 card drops my frames in half, full screen or windowed

I have the TH2G with 4 monitors also. Q9650 with a GTX280.First, if your computer is set up for SLI with your 2 graphics cards, it will do you no good for FSX. FSX doesn't support SLI, so you get no performance gain using SLI.Run the TH2G from one port on one of your 260's. Connect your 4th monitor to the second port on the same 260. You will have to run FSX in Windowed Mode if you want to use the 4th monitor with the TH2G. Your main display (normally VC Cockpit View) will be on the three TH2G monitors. You *can* then open up another window in FSX (like a Spot View), undock it, then drag it to your 4th monitor and resize it any way you like. But this WILL cause a hardship on FSX...expect your frame rates to drop, maybe even substantially. I don't recommend using the 4th monitor for a second FSX window. I use my 4th monitor to display other applications while running FSX...something like the FS Commander moving map display, Active Sky X weather maps, navigation charts or approach plates, or sometimes FS Widgets GMap. If I want to change views in FSX, I just cycle through the normal views using the three main TH2G monitors. What you use the 4th monitor for is up to you and what your computer is capable of handling. Also, make sure you follow NickN's guide in using and setting up nHancer. You want to set up a profile in nHancer for FSX that will NOT be an SLI profile. You will be using only one of your 260's while running FSX if you use the above 4 monitor setup with the TH2G, so you want a non-SLI profile for FSX in nHancer.Rick

Is it possible to add another TH2Go on a second card or even on the secondary DVI port?

No on a second card...Yes on the second port of one card. Some TH2G users are actually using two TH2Gs with six monitors running off of one card. You have to use WinXP because you must use the Span mode, which is currently only found on XP drivers. Here is a link to how you can do it, with a link to a picture of what it looks like in the first post of the thread (from the Widescreen Gaming Forum, TH2G section):http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum...pic.php?t=15954RickEDIT: Here's a short YouTube video link that shows what it looks like using Flight Simulator.

Now that's pretty slick!
