I have it and love it. Looks gorgeous and performs very well with the NGX. I just flew a United flight out of terminal F and all the AC around me were United planes. Definitely no need for static AI if you have a good traffic program and a good AFCAD.

Its all in the FMC, FS options and/or PMDG options I forget which. John

I tried it like this with 2x 19" CRT viewsonics and 1x 20" Samsung LCD widescreen. I fly VC mostly and it was not pretty but definitely doable. I was forced to run the LCD in 4:3 which distorted the image a bit and being the center monitor it just got to me. The colors were also very hard to match up. I could never force the CRT's to 16:9 they would just go black. I would think if you are using 2D panels it would be okay. Keep in mind this was a long time ago, 2006 maybe? I've had the random freeze with sounds still playing since just about day one. It got so annoying that I haven't touched FSX in well over a year! But with the 737NG getting close I've started to get interested again. If you look in the Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum, topic "FSX Freezes randomly" towards the bottom of the 4th page there is a link to an MS hot fix that may solve the problem. I haven't tried it yet but it will be first on my list. John

I currently run 3x ASUS LCD monitors through a TH2Go set up and was wondering if there was a better way? Is it possible to use a GTX480 and have 2 monitors plugged in via DVI and one using HDMI? If so do I need any special drivers and will FSX and FS9 recognize this type of set up?John

I did the same thing at the same airport!! It was heartbreaking after an 8 hour flight.

Carenado mainly produce GA aircraft and only provide the default GPS, if you want something better like a GNS530 or 430 you need to buy them separately. The Bn-2 is a commercial AC and it comes with the Bendix King KLN 90A GPS unit. I haven't messed around with the KLN much yet but if it works as advertised I'd guess its value would be about $20? If Carenado added better avionics to their AC I would gladly accept a price increase, although adding RealityXP gauges to them is pretty straight forward.

Having a look at the screen shots its not the ground textures that bother me, they actually look pretty good. Its the objects without any texture blending around them, just doesn't look natural to me.

CB, I'm also confused as to what you are saying? Concorde-X has been out for a few weeks now and it is very well done as quite a few people in this thread have already stated. For me personally it definitely goes beyond looking good, but not being a Concorde pilot I'm afraid my opinion on the FDE would only be from a simmers perspective.I think you would get better answers to your questions or concerns by going to the developers site and speaking with them directly. http://www.flightsimlabs.com/

You just add an edit to the config file for whichever livery you want it for.For me the QW has way too many bugs for it to be flyable and I've shelved it after a few annoying flights. One of which is the retro panel (LCD style glass). Take a look at the SP1 list before buying http://forum.qwsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=1194 I hope it will all be fixed sometime soon.

Well 2 quick flights so far basically just using just the logbook, and its pretty slick! I can't believe I haven't tried this before I can't wait to get into the manual and see what else I can do! Ray, no need to plug Radar Contact, already a huge fan :(

I've always been interested in this how well does it work in FSX? Are there any compatibility issues with add-on aircraft?

PMDG's MD-11 is $79 and their 744 used to be, both completely worth it! Ariane's 737's are about $120 each plus $20 or so for liveries! So its not the most expensive. And if it is as good as they claim $70 US is not exactly breaking bank, for me at least.

Being fairly new to photo scenery MegaX's Hawaii was my first and I really enjoy it especially with FSD's PHNL. I will say I like Newports colors a lot better, MS just doesn't look as vibrant. I'm not sure what you mean by "nonexistent autogen, bad resolution" For me the 'photo' is very crisp and details are easily picked out or do you mean monitor resolution? As for Auto-Gen I was under the impression from MS's guide that it should be turned way down or off, I do have mine at normal and the airports and its buildings line up perfectly in the Newport scenery, the trees however do not. I do have some MSE scenery where the airports are horrible with taxi ways and buildings clearly misplaced and sitting next to the photo instead of on top. So for AG is this what I should be looking at or is it the trees and cities? I would post some screens but I use TH2Go and they are enormous when viewed on a single monitor :( and resizing makes them just about useless.

I agree.Judging from the VFR Cozumel screen shots the textures look really washed out so I stayed away from it. I do have their Boise and Albuquerque scenery and both are pretty good, and fit in well with Sim Savvy.

I do hope switching back to Vista works for you, but I can say I have had these random freezes with Vista64 and Win7 64. Maybe its the 64-bit OS that causes the problem? I will say I've gone longer between freezes with Vista and actually thought moving to 7 would cure it :(

I just want to point out that AH has a slider which allows you to choose the distance of you flights. I have mine set at 50% and I get flights as short as 120nm. Matter of fact it has several sliders that allow you to customize your flights. That being said I'm sure you'll enjoy FsPax it really is a fantastic program and the last I read Dan (Developer) is working on a new update which should add some new features!

I actually own all 3, AH, FsPAX & FSCaptain. I don't think you could go wrong with any of them but in your case I would say Air Hauler would be best suited for the C185. You can change the slider to generate airports of any size and depending on where you fly bush strips will definitely be available. I chose FTX's wonderful Australian scenery and get a lot of jobs into small strips such as Cessnock and Warnervale. Also you can start with and add any aircraft you wish, you just need to import it. My current fleet consists of 3x Piper Navajo's 2x Piper Cheyennes 2x Jetstream 41's and 1x ATR. All of which are payware AC and relatively light. Heck you can stick with your 1x C185 and just fly enough to make your airport lease payments, landing & fuel fees and whatever maintenance fees you might incur, ah you'll still make a few bucks just as long as you fly!

Well I made the changes posted by wk6d (Bob Scott) when he first put them up and was flying freeze free for about 16 flights or just over 24 hours, that is until yesterday :( Again completely random I just leveled off @ 10,000ft. in DA's Piper Cheyenne going from YHBA-YBHM I was using FTX (all), UT2, AH and ASA, no Radar Contact. This was the first time I had a freeze with a GA aircraft but then again I don't fly much GA stuff. Sure enough right after it happened I got back in and completed the flight using the same setup, heck I didn't even restart my CPU! I just started using Air Hauler (AH) Fantastic program btw! So I'll be flying low and slow in FTX for awhile I'm going to disable UT2 and use the FTX traffic. I'll see if this adds to my time betwen freezes, I'll report back when it happens again.
