March 31, 201016 yr I have the Captain Sim B752 for FSX and quite enjoy it, and see that Level D are producing one for a future release. Does anyone have the QW version (for FSX), and have any comparison to the CS product?I have little interest in how the aircraft looks from the outside (I hardly ever even download or buy liveries). But what I do care about is the flight model (within reason), the VC (with emphasis on clickable functions and night lighting), and the wing view. Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
March 31, 201016 yr I'm exactly the same as you, all i care about is the model and the panel. I don't have it but i have had the Level d since it first came out, what almost 10 years ago or not far from it .I'm waiting for the 57 from level d . I have 2 friends who know their stuff in flight sim and have both versions- capt sim and level-d and both say that the capt sim 57 is real good if that helps . Louis Massicotte Caroline Alberta

April 1, 201016 yr Bruce, I have both. I like the QW cockpit a little better because it seems that the windshield has a wider view, but the CS757 has more functionality. I think the QW 757 might be a little easier on the frames. you might want to wait just a little longer, as QW is working on a service pack which will add a little more functionality and fix some bugs.

I do note on their web site that the latest LCD style glass is available- is that user selectable when you launch the aircraft in FSX?Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
April 1, 201016 yr They will be releasing a fully native FSX model soon. The flight model is really great! Danny

April 1, 201016 yr Thanks Mike. I do note on their web site that the latest LCD style glass is available- is that user selectable when you launch the aircraft in FSX?Thanks, Bruce. You just add an edit to the config file for whichever livery you want it for.For me the QW has way too many bugs for it to be flyable and I've shelved it after a few annoying flights. One of which is the retro panel (LCD style glass). Take a look at the SP1 list before buying http://forum.qwsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=1194 I hope it will all be fixed sometime soon. John

Thanks also for the info on the LCD VC.I've had my interest re-kindled for the 757 after several articles in the latest Flying mag. One of them was on wake turbulence issues, primarily at KSNA where the 75's are often used on 19R (GA aircraft on the parallel) with a climb at Vx for noise abatement, and they're often fueled for a transcon. One B737 on approach referred to a departing 75 as the "killer bee". Excellent article also in the same mag on an experience in a full motion sim with a 75 (and a 73 and A330)- on going missed approach the instructor told the article author to leave the gear down and then raise the spoilers- with go around thrust the 75 bird still climbed at over 1,000 ft/minute. A true thoroughbred! Thanks for your help, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
April 2, 201016 yr Will they make a freighter version? I would love flying around DHL cargo in Europe in a 757
April 2, 201016 yr Will they make a freighter version? I would love flying around DHL cargo in Europe in a 757David, If you're talking about the QW757, the 757-200 freighter is included. As stated previously, you might want to wait for the update. This pic is at Frankfurt in FS9.
April 2, 201016 yr Hello Gents,Nice product even it's not perfect, a SP1 must be released for soon with lot of corrections/updates. Anyway, muche better that the CS & CLS version.Cheers, Yves ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Good judgement comes from experience. April 2, 201016 yr Cool! I will be waiting for a fully fsx model as I did a shader tweak that won't allow me to fly fs9 aircraft anymore. Once they release that, I will buy!
April 2, 201016 yr How big is the download? (I hate when they don't mention it)Looking forward to it--still not happy with the CS (I can't fly it in anything but the default weather without the AP going nuts) and frankly don't believe the Level D will ever come out (tired of waiting). The QW looks pretty good and lots of liveries is good-- Jim Atkins
April 2, 201016 yr They will be releasing a fully native FSX model soon. The flight model is really great! The Native FSX models will not be included in the upcoming SP1 update, this was announced a few weeks back.It slated for SP2, so it probably won't be that soon for this option.Regards.Ernie.
