December 20, 201114 yr I am looking to buy this outstanding scenery but I have some questions before I buy it! Does the scenery come with correct AI gate positions? For instance, does all the Delta aircraft go the the Delta terminal? Also, does this scenery come with static aircraft for like FedEx aircraft or do you just use your WOAI or Traffic X AI planes? Lastly, what do you guys think on this scenery? Is it worth the forty dollars and how the the "YouControll" feature work? Thanks for the help! I am looking to buy this scenery but I had some questions before I did. Thanks again! :D
December 20, 201114 yr It comes with a correct AFCAD so the AI park at the correct gates. I don't think it has static AI. After having lived for 3 years right next to LAX, I think it is a very authentic recreation of the airport, and I highly recommend it. Pair it with Flightbeam's KSFO and FSDT's KLAS, and you have three fantastic airports for making short hops. Shane Gavin
December 20, 201114 yr I have it and love it. Looks gorgeous and performs very well with the NGX. I just flew a United flight out of terminal F and all the AC around me were United planes. Definitely no need for static AI if you have a good traffic program and a good AFCAD. John
December 20, 201114 yr Hi you can try the Try-Before-Buy it lasts about 5 mins I belive its a great scenery performance is great with the pmdg 737 ngx with a large airport like this very high Quality with the right system you will need to use WOAI or Traffic X AI planes it does not have static aircraft. but just download it and try it out. :( Cesar Martinez AMD 7800X3D RTX5080 NZXT N7 B650E | G.Skill 32GB DDR5 Samsung 980 Pro 2TB | Crucial MX500 (2×) | Crucial P3 Plus Monitor: Philips Evnia 34M2C6500 QD-OLED
December 20, 201114 yr I second Cesar: use the try-before-you-buy feature to make up your mind before you buy.As for my opinion, I find this the best large airport scenery I have. It is extremely detailed, looks terrific, has all kinds of interesting innovations, but most impoirtantly, it performes surprisngly well for me. While at Aerosoft EHAM I get 10FPS with the 737NGX, at UK2000 EGLL I get 15FPS, I have seen 18FPS at FSDT KLAX. I have no idea how they managed to do that, but I'm extremely happy. As was said, pair it with FSDT KLAS for some short but really nice flights between two very well done airports. Lay out MegaScenery Earth tiles between them, and I assure you you are in for a significant treat! December 20, 201114 yr at Aerosoft EHAM I get 10FPS with the 737NGX, at UK2000 EGLL I get 15FPS, I have seen 18FPS at FSDT KLAXDon't you sometimes miss the FS9 times, Benjamin, with fixed 30 (or more) FPS on finals to large airports? And I would also like to say FSDT KLAX is excellent. I have tried it both in FS9 and FSX.Texture quality combined with extraordinary fluidity and this something I cannot express with words which distinguishes top notch developers over the others...
December 20, 201114 yr Don't you sometimes miss the FS9 times, Benjamin, with fixed 30 (or more) FPS on finals to large airports? No, I don't. My FPS at those large airports really wasn't that good and it looked worse in FS2004 than it looks in FSX. I remember taxiing with the QW757 at FSDT KJFK, with MegaScenery, UT:USA, WoAI ands Aerosoft Manhattan. I got about 14FPS I think. For that I didn't see too much of the Manhattan skyline, the texture resolution of non-airport scenery was really low... Now that I think of it, FS2004 really didn't look very good. See, that's the point. I'd get twice the FPS overall, but the sim would look twice as bad. I'm just not anymore willing to look at FS2004 :S I know, FS is about flying, but the eye also wants something. December 20, 201114 yr I agree. KLAX is an amazing airport. It's just beautiful. I also agree that FS9 falls way short in the eye candy department. Those who still think that FS9 looks just as good as FSX are simply hallucinating. That's cool with me. All simulators do that. MSFS

FS9 falls way short in the eye candy departmentWell, it sometimes does. Those who still think that FS9 looks just as good as FSX are simply hallucinatingActually it is the nicest description ever of what I feel. :( Thank you, DJJ!
December 20, 201114 yr Rafal, it really depends on the addon I use. It can range from 7 to 15FPS, although I'd say 8 or 9FPS is the average. But with all due respect, shall we not make this perfectly fine thread about a perfectly fine airport into one of those FS9 vs. FSX threads again? December 20, 201114 yr FS9 vs. FSXSure, never again! See my signature, I am trying to be FS9/FSX myself.I was purely wondering why you had such poor performance in FS9.FSDT LAX is great!
December 20, 201114 yr Sure, never again! See my signature, I am trying to be FS9/FSX myself.I was purely wondering why you had such poor performance in FS9.FSDT LAX is great! Clouds. I have an ATI card, and it's sure noticeable that it doesn't like clouds. I always thought I therefor couldn't fly in bad weather, but I found a solution for it: simply don't use clouds, use low visibility settings instead. Works great! As such, I guess that if I'd figured this out before I went to FSX, I could have had that KJFK situation at 20FPS at the least... December 21, 201114 yr hello guys! :D thanks for all the replies! I am thrilled to see that the AI positions are right and that it will give some what of a good frame rate! I will defiantly get this amazing scenery! Hey one more question. What exactly does the "You Control" feature do? thanks for all the help!!! :D
