June 29, 200916 yr Commercial Member Hi,Devastated!! :(Was making a high performance climb-out, empty, levelled off nicely at 3000 ft (cruise alt selected in the FMS) when "Pause at ToD" activated. No probs - I hit "UNPAUSE".At that exact moment - the sim crashed. :(The routing was......EGLL - RW27R - direct to ILS RW27R App, EGLL.I had however, taken off in the opposite direction (RW09L). I had used the autothrust system for the takeoff, but was flying manually. Ws just leveling off nicely at 3000 ft when it all kicked off.WHAT A ROCKET!! :DI'm going to re-fly this, so will report back if it occurs again.Only add-on is Heathrow 2008. Had flown numerous circuits without using the FMS without a hitch, but this is the first time ToD had activated.I've just installed the latest service pack. Navdata is whatever you guys supply as stock.EDIT: It did it again after I un-paused it: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: fsx.exe Application Version: 10.0.61472.0 Application Timestamp: 475e17d3 Fault Module Name: PMDG_MD11.DLL Fault Module Version: 10.0.61355.62 Fault Module Timestamp: 49b7c81d Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00118301 OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Best regards,Robin.
June 29, 200916 yr Author Commercial Member Seperate crash this time: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: fsx.exe Application Version: 10.0.61472.0 Application Timestamp: 475e17d3 Fault Module Name: PMDG_MD11.DLL Fault Module Version: 10.0.61355.62 Fault Module Timestamp: 49b7c81d Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00118301 OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 I disabled "Pause at ToD". This time, instead of pausing, it disabled my X/Y joystick axis. Z and slider still worked (MS SideWinder 1).I flew the aircraft on autopilot, and made an automated approach. At 10 ft, the sim crashed with the above.Best regards,Robin.
June 29, 200916 yr I'm not too good with computers, but is Windows version 6.0.6, by any chance, Windows 7?Just wondering, because then I might know the problem
June 29, 200916 yr Author Commercial Member Hi,No - I'm running Vista Ultimate x64.Best regards,Robin.
June 29, 200916 yr I've seen a couple of reports of no pause at TOD but a CTD after un-pausing is a new one. I've flown many "round-robins" but not at EGLL (I have a Heathrow upgrade too). Try this at a different location, see if the scenery can be ruled out. Dan Downs KCRP
June 29, 200916 yr Author Commercial Member Hi,I tested this one to death (all after disabling "Pause at ToD" and restarting FSX) and NO PROBLEMS.I'll re-test tonight with "Pause at ToD" enabled to see what it does.Note that when it crashed after I disabled "Pause at ToD" I had not at that time restarted FSX.FSX is vanilla except for Heathrow 2008 scenery.FSX SP2, MD-11 latest version.Best regards,Robin.
