June 29, 200916 yr In addition to what Bruno said above, if you're asking whether setting is required to complete the preflight, the answer is no, the FMC will set it automatically to a value of approx. 5.hope this helps Onur K. Visit my FS blog: Clear Right...
June 29, 200916 yr Author Guys,Thanks that has answered the question and now I know and don't need to worry about triming the aircraft.RegardsJason Jason Thompson

You still need to go to the throttle window and ensure the trim is set appropriately as outlined in the checklist. George Morris

Anybody disagrees with that?Bruno
June 29, 200916 yr Always 5.5 in the PMDG-737. It must be an average value. I am afraid the calculation it is not modelled in the 737. However the PMDG-747 FMC calculates different values depending on aircraft weights and takeoff flaps. signed: José Luis

Future updates are planned to bring these capabilities online in a realistic fashion.I thought one of the service updates changed this, but it was a long time ago in a galaxy far far away... :( When I get home, I will see if I can track anything down and post if I find something.
