July 1, 200916 yr Lately I`M not able to get the FMC to work properly. I follow the tutorial step by step, but when I`m finished there are no ETO SPD OR ALT in my FP. Therefore I`m not able to activate vert. prof mode. There are also lots of information in the weightpage that is not there. No ILS frq/hdg is shown in the NAV RAD section. This makes it rather frustrating to fly the MD-11, I love this plane. CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS?

Sam Anderson Every cigarette takes 17 minutes off your life, every slice of bacon takes 9 minutes off your life. If you smoke and eat bacon fast enough, you can go back in time.
July 1, 200916 yr As Sam suggested, you're probably forgetting an entry. If you see a box, it means that the FMS requires an entry for calculations to be made. Dashes mean that entry is optional.Paul
July 1, 200916 yr WHAT? HELLO? SPEAK UP! When you follow the tutorial, stop the moment your display is different from the tutorials and post a screen shot telling us what you think the difference is. We can then try to tell you which step you didn't get quite right. Paul Smith.

Can I programme FMC before the align is finished? I tried to put in a simple short route in Norway. When I was finished, the route was about 3500NM long and I wonder if there are corrupted files in the Navigraph files?
July 2, 200916 yr You have selected an incorrect waypoint/navaid... you can review the route in the FMS and check the distances and headings between the waypoints...To the original poster - perhaps you have not selected your cruise alt on the init page?Andrew Andrew Entwistle
