RealAir Duke

Hello all,I am seriously thinking of buying this aircraft but before I get out the credit card, I had two questions.1. How frame rate friendly is this aircraft? Is it comparable to default FSX aircraft?2. The GPS on this aircraft, is it the default FSX GPS or an improved version?Thank you all in advance!

1. I've had no trouble with the frames staying between 18-25 (locked @25), but I do think it really depends on your system.2. Its the default GPS however if you own RealityXP's GNS Real Air included some really nice options for it ;-)

Thanks for that John. So as far as frames/sec, is it somewhat comparable to the standard FS GA aircraft or is there like a 10-20% drop?

Farshid, I tested it against the default Maule and actually the Maule took more a toll on FPS than the Duke. I get buttery smooth frames with the Duke. I HIGHLY recommend it.

I'd say it's more like a 30% drop, but for that you get outstanding detail and a great flying experience... you get what you pay for, I'm afraid. But, your mileage may vary..

Thank you all. As we are speaking, the installer is being downloaded from F1. Will give it a go tonight!

I just purchased this aircraft through F1 and took it a for a short flight. Indeed, it is a beautiful aircraft.I just gotta question though, I know the SP1 was released not too long ago but how do I know if the update was included with the package I purchased? I open the Config panel and go to the "Downloads" tab and it says that no downloads were found. But I downloaded the SP1 update from RealAir's website and tried to run but it says that it was unable to find the product. Any ideas? Should I contact RealAir support?

Hi Pilotx2,We are shortly going to update the website to make this clearer and I do understand the confusion. SP1 was released about a month ago and all new downloads include SP1 already installed. The installer does actually say it includes SP1 when running (in the top border of the installer window).Kind Regards,Rob Young - RealAir

Thanks for that Rob. I ran the Set up again and saw it on the top.
