Default AI showing up

Featured Replies

I've been experiencing FS9 default traffic appearing randomly. I became so frustrated with it that I deleted the FS default aircraft. Now, I haven't seen them in their usual 'popups' but, I still hear atc communication to the usual suspect's. Landmark and others.Any suggestions? PS: I run Ultimate Traffic (what's left of it) and various WOAI.The default traffic bgl was removed yeeeears ago.

Hi there! The best way to remove default traffic is by removing a certain file, traffic030528.bgl which is in the FS9/Scenery/World/Scenery folder. This should be sufficient. Actually, you don't need to delete it, you can just rename the extension to .bak Be aware that this will also remove the default GA traffic.Deleting the default aircraft folders might cause problems with custom AI folders, I'm not entirely sure though. :(

This will also cause problems with user aircraft that alias default panels and/or sounds.Best to leave these folders alone and deal with default traffic through the traffic030528.bgl.Joe

Some GA aircraft also have the landmark callsign in use.If you haven't removed those entry's from the aircraft.cfg files of the GA aircraft then you will hear them once in a while.Scan your aircraft.cfg folders for those callsigns and remove them. Then you will be rid of the default traffic ( at least from hearing them)Kind regards,Tom vd HorstWorld-of-AI
