July 17, 200916 yr I viewed a J41 video shot in the cockpit, and noticed it is a very noisy and loud environment. The pilots were wearing headphones of course, so I'm sure they were fairly comfortable throughout the flight. How did PMDG prepare the sounds for their J41, sound heard as if wearing headphones, or without? Any sound adjustments included to where the simmer can fine tune to their liking perhaps?Curt Curt Branch

July 17, 200916 yr There's no such thing as comfort in wearing David Clarks! As somebody that's spent a few hundred hours in both DC's and a first gen Bose ANR headset, the Bose (and newer) are amazing and much more comfortable. The first gen Bose still had a large passive component to it as well. Tim
July 17, 200916 yr I still prefer my very old David Clarke HD-10's, I replaced the ear gaskets and head cushen not long ago. I've tried the noise cancelling headsets but prefer what I'm used to... and yes, I am hard of hearing now. Might have something to do with 35 years of flying props.AOPA sells a baseball cap with their logo and no button on the top of the crown, makes wearing headsets much easier on long trips.
