Can't rotate VC in FS2004

Featured Replies

Hello all! Just picked up my FS2004 after some five years and its great to be back in the skies. As I sold my joystick and am saving up for CH Yoke, I am currently flying with keyboard and mouse only.My question is about virtual cockpit. I don't seem to figure out how can I rotate the VC with the mouse? I click and hold down on the rotary thing in the middle and move mouse around but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help in advance!

I'm pretty sure you need a program like Active Camera to be able to pan with a mouse in FS2004. I don't believe mouse panning is built into FS2004 the way it is in FSX.

"Even Ozzy's wagging his tail again. Liam who?"

...and welcome back, by the way.

Ah yes, Active Camera... these things come back to my memory as I start virtual flying with FS2004 again :) I am so excited again! Thanks for your quick reply!

You could try this:http://www.wilcopub.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=support and scroll down to download the free utility called "F1 View"Jim D.

Are you sure its not built in. I've never used Active Camera or any other payware/freeware addon to do that (not that I know of anyway), but I can pan in VC view using the mouse wheel button. Could this function perhaps be included in something else?

I can pan using the mouse wheel button with Active Camera, but not without it...so I don't think so.
