July 24, 200916 yr Can someone tell me what drivrs the found the best luck for with this card?Tim,CanadaIt's a recent card, go with the most recent drivers! Especially if using FSX. Nvidia just released 190 drivers. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
July 25, 200916 yr Commercial Member 182.5 seems to work the best on my system with a GTX285.+1 here for 182.5. Everything later caused stutters, CTD and reduced FPS (for me, others may have better experience).RegardsSimon www.supertrafficboard.com
July 25, 200916 yr Ok fella's....sorry for delay.Look at my signature for LCD update request. Now the shaking screen is bad at altitudes about 7000 and lower on turns very bad. Staight flying almost noting exceptpicture will flicker on occasion. Higher than 7000 ft no problems at all on turns at all. Now this is no zooming at all. This monitor was sold to me by computer peopl.Flat model. It is not used as a TV. Now...........a little history.I had a 8800GTX Nvidia installed and had the greatest picture you can imagine.(so I was told by repair guys whoever I had come in over the years)Anyway..........I had my computer in the shop and was convinced to buy the Radeon HD4890 as it wld amaze me by the result over the 8800GTX. That was a disaster!! The screen shook more than the GtX275that I now hv and I cld not get any antiliasing.(i hv a buddy that does the trouble shooting for me via pictures whom is a programmer. After a month I gave up & bought the GTX 275 & still got the shake but not as bad as the radeon. With the GTX 275 my colouring is astounding in FSX but sad to say my couloring went to hell in WindowsExplorer. What's suposed to be red is orange & for 3 days I've tryed to fix but cannot. Present driver I'm using is 182.42 Screen resolution has always been set at 1650 x 1080Lots of money spent uslessley when I had a perfect picture with my 8800GTX. But, I am a very compulsive person & am game for anything.Oh well.Hope you good fella's can help meTim,Canada
July 25, 200916 yr screen shaking only occurs if you set the "required" framerate over your real average frame rateso if you are normally getting 30fps and you set it to 40 fps you'll get lots of shakingset it down to 30fps and it'll be smooth as butter ....the 4890 is not a bad card for FSX and probably as good as a 275 - and both are better than the GTX so its a config problem somewhereMark.
