April 29, 201016 yr Author Geddy - 8 months after my original post I am back and have sent you a PM.ThanksNicholas
April 29, 201016 yr Looking for that Tutorial I did. Somewhere on a external drive I hope. I've since moved on to the SMS T7 but I'll see what I can do for you. Clarke Kruger - CYEG
May 27, 201016 yr Quote: from Geddy, (Aug 1, 2009):Hmm. Well see here lies the dilemma of some merges. Because I can still use the Load editor and Fuel planner correctly. They do work with each other BTW.My approach speeds work pretty good for ILS approaches. Maybe a little on the harder side at touchdown but I hand fly it sometimes anyway. As for the last 2 wheels? Like to know where you got that from. Every wheel on my SMS/PSS turns. Both the 200 & 300 series.Even if it didn't, I spend most of my time in the flightdeck during Taxi, Takeoff & Landing looking out the front. Really would care less if 2 wheels didn't move.As you can read, Geddy 'hand flys' his Heavy Iron and could care less what the wheels do. (ie: he don't know anything about 'merge', or ILS approach, or AP, or AT, and is in here mostly to push his 'VA' - he is primarily a 'business man'). Anyone can figure this out. You're asking someone who has to 'pretend' he knows-but doesn't. I don't have the PSS. Or SMS. Just the POSKY. I am doing 'research' on these so called 'merges' and what the resulting dynamics wind up looking like due to the model differences and whether anyone does any 'adjustment' due to that fact. So far no one has mentioned dynamics. Just 'wheels' and 'ILS problems'. Figures.CBNapamule
May 27, 201016 yr Author Hi NapamuleWas that post meant for me? Even if it wasnt I know I didnt understand what you were trying to say. If it was, what are you saying? Those questions aside - is there anyone who can suggest a way to improve my JF777 please - or is it as good (or not) as it will get already? Thanks Nicholas
May 27, 201016 yr Nicholas,You said: '..what are you saying?'. I am saying that Getty saying 'Really would care less if 2 wheels didn't move' points to the fact that he doesn't realize that these merges results in a mis-match between the models, and that the FDE's would need work. My research involves just how much of a mis-match there is beteen the 2 models that are being merged. I am interested primarily in the PSS and POSKY merge. The POSKY model and any other model will not be identical, so FDE's would need to be worked on (contact points, for example) for the merge to 'work'. Each model is different. The reason you might not get a response ('..a way to improve my JF777 please - or is it as good (or not) as it will get already?') is that most simmers do not know what to look for (and even less about what to do) when they have problems. A 'merge' makes this painfully apparent (of mis-match of models). And panels. And VC, etc. Going to all the 'prime' forums might result in a thread here or there, but that is 'piece meal' and not effective (or so it seems so far). There is no 'school' for this. You either know air files, and cfg file, and can do mods ('tweaks') or you don't. If you don't, and you 'try', you just might make it worse (and not be able to 'un-do') due to not knowing what effected what. You can still get it in the air and land it by hand flying it (like Getty does). This is true for even the worst models out there. Trouble is the AP, AT, ILS, etc might not work AS IT SHOULD and you crash (not a good 'sign').CBNapamule
May 27, 201016 yr First Off, Sorry Northbridge I've been rather busy with moving my family to another province. But enough about me.I won't post on this forum anymore, seems everyone is more interested in Flaming, fighting or whining rather than helping. (look at the above posts for that)Drop me a PM Northbridge and I'll try to help you out. Clarke Kruger - CYEG

May 27, 201016 yr My patience is running thin here napamule. It seems like every time I see your name pop up it's only to make personal attacks or other foolish comments. I'm seeing three occasions reported by mods where you haven't been capable of remaining civil. Let's not have another. Jeremy "rightseater" Fletcher
May 28, 201016 yr RightSatter,I am capable of doing FDE's to where I can fix a merge in a couple of days. I just started this chore, with POSKY/PSS merge, this week. In the past (since FS98) I mostly fly GA, by choice. I come in here looking for reference material concerning 'merge' and I find the (8 month old) thread. Nothing I can use. But I DO notice the repeated offers by xyz to 'help'. (Hype, lie, trash talk, grand standing, marketing (for VA), the usual adverts, ME, ME, ME).So there might not be much (civil or not) that I can add. But I sure can make note of a phoney buzzard when I see one. Or is it 'ok' for Getty to (keep) lying to the forum community? And when confronted, is it 'ok' to 'act' like a wounded bird and do the sympathy pleading to mods for them to 'make him stop'. He did not EVER help anybody as far as I can tell, and he is trying to cause me (the 'witness') problems. So do you want to let him keep on lying? I am calling him a liar (in case you did not understand my 'intentions'). I wasn't trying to just annoy him. I wanted a response (maybe: 'here are the FDE's for xyz merge'). But as we can tell (I can) that this is NEVER going to happen. I would call that 'claim' a LIE. Woundn't you? You can now delete this rebuttal and ban me. Getty will have succeeded in eliminating me. And when I post my updates (that work) they will not be posted here at AvSim. In fact I am resigning. I am 70 years old, been around the block a few times, so I can tell when there is a (wink-wink) 'consensus'. Nobody said I couldn't call a liar a liar, but I guess not. And I don't see any 'merge' files being posted by Getty, here at AvSim, now, 8 months from now, or ever. He figures we will go on to something else in 3 days and not even remember what was said, anyway. That 'type'. Is he YOUR type? I guess. Hasta la vista, Baby.CBNapamulePS: And you didn't have to use big bold red type. It indicates a raging maniac type person (ie: not too bright). I can read without it being in red. But you have to SHOW (the forum community) WHO'S BOSS, right. Cheesh. In fact, you could of used the PM system-that's what it's for. But you want a reaction. Here.

That's pretty much what I expected from you napamule. More assinine comments, and no mention of the other numerous occasions in which you have made personal attacks, and just been rude. I couldn't possibly care less about this topic. I'm not interested in who has posted what, so long as each post was civil, unlike many of yours. I don't care who uploads what. I work in the forums, not the file library. And yes, I do have to use big bold red type to get the attention of people like you. Apparently the regular type in the AVSIM terms of use wasn't bold enough to get your attention, but my big red letters certainly did. Jeremy "rightseater" Fletcher
