Take a look at your gpu and you cpu temps? i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
July 27, 200916 yr OK .. is any other program behaving funny? Take a look at your gpu and you cpu temps?Other programs were fine and the temps were normal!Heres where I am at now. I reformated and installed Windows 7 and Flight simulator. The performence its identical to how it was under XP with the low fps. However, if I switch to DX10 preview mode the game is smooth and will sit right around 23-30 fps. Thoughts?
July 29, 200916 yr Ok. I am starting to think its hardware. I played Call of Duty 4 in Mac OS and got like 0 FPS.Heres my question though why to flight sim appear fixed for like 2 or 3 flights?

If so, how do you get to the video driver settings? I can't find it on mine. Im running a 24'' iMac. I know I need to upgrade to a better "gaming" system, but its all I have now. Thanks,Blake Blake Williams

Then click like more info and it will bring you to system profiler and graphics card is an option.

How is the performance on your mac? Blake Williams
July 29, 200916 yr You can't 'tweak' any graphic options, other than resolution and colour depth, inside the iMac. - Dean P3Dv4 & XP11 space
July 30, 200916 yr I also don't get a DX10 preview option on my iMac - does anyone know why? I have SP2 installed and acceleration. Thanks,Blake Blake Williams
July 30, 200916 yr Probably because the graphics card's (8800 GS or 9400?) drivers don't offer DX10 support. If you want my opinion, forget trying to run FSX on your iMac, unless of course you want to run it at its minimum settings with no add-ons. It just doesn't have the grunt.I use a 24" 3.0ghz iMac for everyday work with XP installed but running under VM Parallels. That way I can run both OS's at the time, dragging and dropping from OS X to XP. I use this iMac as a client for my main FS rig - [email protected], 4GB RAM, 8800GTX and a 24" BenQ; getting a bit long in the tooth I know but when I have the necessary readies i'll upgrade. It suffices and will run all add-ons happily.Right now, I'm typing this in Firefox on the Mac. Thunderbird is also open. XP is running with ASA, WideFS, FS Commander, FS Flightkeeper and Dreamweaver MX all open. On the FS PC I'm currently in the CS757 with FS Passengers, flying across China - http://www.ukdirectva.co.uk/FlightService/Index.phpThey all co-exist in harmony beautifully :) - Dean P3Dv4 & XP11 space
