July 30, 200916 yr HiDoes anyone know what happened to Airliner XP airbus project? It is cancelled or they are just working without making comments on their forum?harpsi
July 30, 200916 yr You got it all wrong.. :( If Lou was here he would tell you that everything is ok with the AXP, except for a tiny problem with their web hosting which keeps their forum closed for over a year now.. But he isn't around anymore.Guess who misses him? :(Before we jump the horses, we should instead inform ourself what actually happend to Lou. If you have some sparetime you could jump over to Dreamfleets forum. But hey,...maybe it is easier to jump your own conclusions. B) The issue is not what happened to him,...but more what happened to everybody else in that project. To me that project has become one of the biggest hoaxes in the FS history. :( Staffan
July 30, 200916 yr Staffan, I'm talking about AXP here, why anyone should go over some other company's forum and search for information? They have a website and forum (even though it's disabled for new posts) up and running. After 18 months from the last forum post, or a website update, it's hardly jumping to a conclusion anymore. Perhaps it's time to call it what it is..
July 30, 200916 yr I'm talking about AXP here, why anyone should go over some other company's forum and search for information?I was under the impression that Airliner XP was a collaboration between Dreamfleet and Reality XP, hence why there may be info regarding the Airliner XP project on Dreamfleet's or Reality XP's forums. July 30, 200916 yr I was under the impression that Airliner XP was a collaboration between Dreamfleet and Reality XP, hence why there may be info regarding the Airliner XP project on Dreamfleet's or Reality XP's forums. You are absolutely right. :( But still some people preferes to jump to their own conclusions without even taking their time in getting accurate information. And the information is right there at Dreamfleet, since they was one part of the Airliners XP project. :(No need to drag this thing further. To me A XP is a dead and burried project long ago. Staffan
July 30, 200916 yr Does it really matter anyway? With the AirSimmer Airbus under way, AXP has become redundant, sad as it is... July 31, 200916 yr Could you be nice and give a link to that information please? I couldn't find anything.Seams like the thread was deleted suddenly. I saw it just a few days ago. It was a thread regarding the lac of updates of their planes. And one of the reasons was said that Lou had som seriuos real life issues to take care of. Maybe the thread still is there somewhere, but I can not find it spot on now.But now and then it pops up a thread regarding the "slow movement" in Dreamfleet. And i suppose A XP also suffered from just that. Staffan
July 31, 200916 yr I believe Airliner XP was a collaboration between three developers - Dreamfleet, Reality XP, and FlightScenery. After all the fuss when Airliner XP was announced in 2007 it all went very quiet. There never was much of an explanation from the developers as to what happened, but from what we can gather the developer from FlightScenery left the FS scene for whatever reason. The other two developers kept very tight lipped about what was happening. Then since the release of the Dakota Dreamfleet have been very quiet with no new products being released, and word on the Dreamfleet Forums that Lou Betti has fallen on hard times. Of the three Airliner XP developers it appears only Reality XP are still active. With all the fanfare and hype accompanying the announcement of Airliner XP and its imminent release in 2007 I imagine there is egg on some faces ;) The slogan they had "The Airbus you've been waiting for!" has become a bit of a joke. I don't expect Airliner XP to every see the light of day. It's a shame really, and I would be very happy if it was miraculouslly resurrected. However, I'm not holding my breath. Nick

Back in FS 98 and FS 2K days, you and a few cool guys like Eric Ernst, Paul Golding and Lou Betti were/are like super stars to me, I've always appreciated your hard work, and paid for it when it's asked. However, when I see a scam, I call it. You're free to believe whatever you want, just try not to judge others who don't agree with you.I wish he's kicking it in Florida with the girls, rather than having issues about his real life. I'm done here.
