October 7, 201114 yr I managed to get the Glen Copeland Alt alerter working by altering the config settings to:- [Config]MaxSounds=1ErrorFlag= 0LvarStop=dsd_stop_sounds[LVars]Lvar00=AltAlert_PlaySound[sounds]Sound00=./Gauges/AltAlerterGau_2/AltitudeAlerter1.wav, 100 Sorry the above is correct,to get it working you have to alter this line:-gauge81=AltAlert_dsd_xml_sound3!dsd_xml_sound3, 0, 0, 1, 1, ./Gauges/AltAlerterGau_2/AltAlert_sound.iniIn the download it is as follows:-gauge81=AltAlert_dsd_xml_sound3!dsd_xml_sound3, 0, 0, 1, 1, ./Gauges/AltAlertGau_2/AltAlert_sound.ini Hope this helps.Stan
October 9, 201114 yr Thanks for the very helpful replies everyone. After much tweaking and testing I think I have a setup I'm happy with. @Stan57 - I tried Glen Copelands gauge and loved it, except for one issue.... you have to set the alert altitude separate from the autopilot altitude. I would prefer to be able set it via the FS autopilot offset/Lvar (This may be possible but requires a change to the XML programming which is beyond my expertise). Apart from that it works very well. @Spook - I have decided to use pmSounds as you recommended. I can confirm that the Altitude Alerter works really well and doesn't require the other PM software to work. Ever better it closely replicates the real world gauge and tones! I also like the 'virtual copilot' sounds - though I recorded some of my own which better replicates real world cockpit phraseologies. My only criticism would be that the GPWS altitude callouts are only suitable for a 737/A320 sized aircraft - in the 747/757/767/777 the aircraft touches down right on the '20' call. For anyone else looking for a similar solution, I'm using Rob Barendregt's GPWS gauge v3.3 which allows you to customise the altitude callouts for each individual aircraft you fly. I combine this with the freeware pmSounds which gives my the Altitude Alerter I was originally looking for, as well as a few 'virtual copilot' callouts. All together they work really well and add another dimension to the virtual cockpit environment. Cheers everyone and best regards,Mat Fraser
