  1. I d/l this scenery only for it to be imediately deleted by Norton as unsafe. This was mainly based on the fact that it had not been downloaded many times but also because the author had not signed it. I d/l "boryspil.zip" instead but had to alter the hold short nodes in the Afcad so the AI Traffic would work.
  2. Also when you have got loads of AI flying in your sim you need to D/L as many Afcad files as you can because AI Traffic will disappear if there is no room for the aircraft to park at its destination airport. The default Afcads dont have nearly enough parking spaces. If you just D/L afcads for the main airports that is a good start.
  3. I have only recently learnt how to fly Helo,s since i found the gauge (rcbhhc22.zip) over at Avsim, dont know how i had missed this gauge since it has been around since 2007.What the gauge does is makes the aircraft a lot more stable below 1,000ft and so it is possible to approach real slow and touch down on the landing pads. The gauge (easy_hap.zip) also on Avsim works above 200ft and 40mph and makes it a lot easier to do the cruise. The main difference between the gauges is that the latter works similar to a normal Auto-pilot where you set the heading and altitude and then just sit back, whilst the first one mentioned uses the cyclic or joystick to control height and speed.IE.stick forward for forward speed and stick back for reverse. The throttle control on your joystick then controls your vertical speed, twist grip is used for turning and left and right to keep the helo level. Scenery for the Oil rigs can be found over at the ODG Group(Offshore Developement Group). The only drawback is that not all Helicopters will funtion using the 2 gauges together, but as luck would have it,the ones that will work are all the aircraft used by the Oil Industry. I fly on FS9 and so dont know which FSX heli,s will work but i will list the ones that work on FS9 when i find time.
  4. If you did D/L the file as i did check in your "hidden folders"It installs the exe.file "eSMU5cZKU1K.exe" in computer/c/users/your name/app data/roaming.Delete the file.
  5. Whenever i have this sort of problem i use the program "Jabbgl" first to get the AI aircraft on the ground and then alter the afcad to match the elevation.I guess this is what you just said Jim.
  6. Dont know if this could have anything to do with it,but when uninstalling FS9 you have to uninstall the 9.1 update first.
  7. Are the runway elevations set the same as the airport elevations in afcad.?
  8. I think this has something to do with the file named "usenglish" found in your sound folder. There are usually 2 of them, one is for speeded up speech. You could try moving them to your desktop and try again. If this does not help just put the original files back.
  9. I read somewhere that if you remove [land_3 and land_5] bgl,s that this will cure the flickering.I have done that and it was OK last time i landed at OMDB.I have backed up those 2 files incase the problem returns.
  10. I managed to get the Glen Copeland Alt alerter working by altering the config settings to:- [Config]MaxSounds=1ErrorFlag= 0LvarStop=dsd_stop_sounds[LVars]Lvar00=AltAlert_PlaySound[sounds]Sound00=./Gauges/AltAlerterGau_2/AltitudeAlerter1.wav, 100 Sorry the above is correct,to get it working you have to alter this line:-gauge81=AltAlert_dsd_xml_sound3!dsd_xml_sound3, 0, 0, 1, 1, ./Gauges/AltAlerterGau_2/AltAlert_sound.iniIn the download it is as follows:-gauge81=AltAlert_dsd_xml_sound3!dsd_xml_sound3, 0, 0, 1, 1, ./Gauges/AltAlertGau_2/AltAlert_sound.ini Hope this helps.Stan
  11. Try [(easy_hap.zip] available on Avsim.

I have just installed this scenery which is available on Flightsim.com (lkpr_x_rc2.zip).While it is probably OK if flying online, if you are not and are using AI Traffic as i do, the hold short nodes are too far from the runways and there are also a few bits of grass showing thru the apron. These can be fixed by altering the supplied Afcad file.Problem:-when you alter the afcad file the default buildings show thru the scenery which kind of messes things up.Solution:-Put the following exclude file in your Scenery cfg.file under the entry for LKPR:-(Exclude=N50 06.74,E14 15.74,N50 05.39,E14 17.47,Objects).This will remove nearly all the default buildings from the Terminal area and also from the area near the runway 31 hold point where biz jets park. Also turn off crash detect as there are quite a few crash boxes in the scenery.Hope this is of use to anyone looking for scenery for LKPR.Yours Stan.
  13. Or try "find_all_duplicate_v2.4.zip" by Gerard Durand in Avsim file library.
  14. There is a FDE Update v9.7 which addresses the steering of the B747-400.You can get it at free sky project.com
  15. I would try running ACA2005V1.6 and get shut of any errors that that shows up.Last time i had OOM errors was when i had two conflicting sceneries in the sim.I could remove any one of them and everything would run OK,but have both in the sim at the same time and OOM errors would start again.MSFS will run OK with one or two small errors but gives up when there are multiple errors.
