FSUIPC Axis Assignments and Calibration

Featured Replies

CH Control Manager sits between your controls within windows and the rest of the Win driver. If you have it installed it does affect the readings in the Gaming Options applet. The CHM creates virtual control devices and this is what FS (and FSUIPC) sees as well as the Gaming Options applet. In other words the chain is:Hardware Devices > CHM > Win Gaming Drivers > FS.I have not used CHM for years since it caused some problems for me. I originally used it for a very early version of XC-Plane that only allowed just a few axis from a stick and pedals so I used it to create more virtual devices - or something like that. That has not been necessary at least for FS8 and up.Gaming Options now shows directly how Win sees the axis outputs and will show any noisy controls. If your yaw axis is stable as you move it then you are not experiencing a hardware problem.

Thanks everyoneI did succeed assigning axis and calibrating eight levers using only FSUIPC v3.90.with joystick disabled and deleted all assignments in the default SF9 cfg menu. You have to cfg joys, rudders/brakes) using FSUIPC but for me its was worth it.I now have a sold setup with the FSUIPC.ini file backed up.I haven't got the indent right yet but I'm working on itIf you are having button assignments mysteriously show up here is a tip I picked up from the flightsim network form.ADD this line to the general section of FSUIPC.ini : Eliminate Transients=YesI added this line after I cfg everything and Ive had no buttion changes or additions.Your friendGerry Reid

Has anyone installed the latest version of FSUIPC, complete with auto installer?I've not tried it yet.......as I'm not too sure the 'auto' part is a good idea, for me. Last thing I want is an application the has the ability to 'blow' my beloved fs9 out of the water....then does it :( It's version FSUIPC 3.93.Ken

********* FSUIPC, Version 3.93 by Pete Dowson *********Running on Windows Version 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 3Verifying Certificate for "E:\Flight Simulator 9\MODULES\FSUIPC.dll" now ... SUCCESS! Signature verifies okay!Running inside FS2004 (FS9.1 CONTROLS.DLL, FS9.1 WEATHER.DLL)

As installers go, it's pretty painless. Provides a log file in your modules folder listing exactly what it did, as well as on screen while running install. Only thing it dumps all the docs in your modules folder, which might not be exactly what your want. Just move them if desired.scott s..
