August 28, 200916 yr Hi all,Just trying to get some opinions on which is the better solution and will be making a purchase today. Scott KGPI
August 28, 200916 yr I have being using flight sim commander for years and have n realissues with it, takes aminute to figure it out, you may have to add some plane specs to its database to use them in plans, and if you update any airports you will need to rescan the database, but i assume that would be the same with any planner. The only thing i am hoping they would add, is an map showing altiude in different colours so that you can plan around moutains instead of through them.
August 28, 200916 yr I have both but I like using FSBuild for flight planning. Since it usually uses real flight plans off the net. Sometimes I creat a plan w/ FSBuild and then put it into FSCommander and use it for the moving map feature, plus I can see airports and ils frequencies on the fly w/o looking at charts from time to time. August 29, 200916 yr FSBuild is an excellent flight planning program. Many options and the ability to make realistic flights with airways, STAR/SID capability, all with a mouse click. Has many existing routes stored inside. Can export the final plans to many programs (I export to FS9, FSX, ISG gauges). There is a learning curve but it is worth climbing it.Shez Shez Ansari Windows 11; CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K; GPU: EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1080Ti 11GB; MB: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5; RAM: 16GB; HD: Samsung 960 Pro 512GB SSD, Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD; Display: ASUS 4K 28", Asus UHD 26"
August 29, 200916 yr Unfortunately, I don't think there's a clear winner here:+ FSBuild: better for creating real-world IFR flight plans+ FSC: has a moving mapYou might also look at the freeware "Super Flight Planner": http://cpinf.com.
