September 7, 200916 yr In the spirit of this post, when's the PMDG A320 going to be released? Will we at least have manuals by the end of the year?Paul
September 7, 200916 yr In the spirit of this post, when's the PMDG A320 going to be released? Will we at least have manuals by the end of the year?PaulManuals tomorrow, to be followed by the release a few hours later.......... :( Armen L CholakianPMDG Sound Engineer
September 7, 200916 yr Only if life was that good...........Even if it was to be released tomorrow though, I am sure not as many would buy it because we are busy learning how to prevent the engines from melting down on the J41 ;)
September 7, 200916 yr Author Haven't really paid attention to the J41 stuff, but why are the engines burning up? Are people introducing fuel too early in the start sequence?Paul
September 7, 200916 yr Haven't really paid attention to the J41 stuff, but why are the engines burning up? Are people introducing fuel too early in the start sequence?PaulI guess people didn't realize they actually have to work to get this plane going. :(
September 7, 200916 yr Haven't really paid attention to the J41 stuff, but why are the engines burning up? Are people introducing fuel too early in the start sequence?Paul,The startup sequence in the JS41 is automated, but there are several things that a pilot can do to burn up the engines:He can pull them too deep into reverse while the condition levers are in taxi. B) He can exceed the EGT for more than a few seconds. :( He can try to set takeoff power while the props are still on the start latches. :( He can fail to read the manual. :( Best Regards, Kurt "Yoda" Kalbfleisch Pinner, Middx, UK Beta tester for PMDG J41, NGX, and GFO, Flight1 Super King Air B200, Flight1 Cessna Citation Mustang, Flight1 Cessna 182, Flight1 Cessna 177B, Aeroworx B200

September 7, 200916 yr Paul, I suggest you grab a copy of the J41 and see for yourself why the engines are burning up ;)....Seriously though, you are missing out!I have to confess, I have melted a couple (hundred? No, too early!) engines myself. But that's part of the learning process
September 7, 200916 yr Author Paul, I suggest you grab a copy of the J41 and see for yourself why the engines are burning up ;)....Seriously though, you are missing out! Thanks, but I'll politely decline for 3 reasons:I'm not big on little planes (no offense to Jetstream pilots, as it's bigger than anything I've ever flown)As impressive as this VC seems, I'm still not crazy on the VCI'm still running FS9. But I'll almost certainly be running FSX by the time the A320 is released.Paul

All the best from Austria, Alexander Roithmair Best regards,
September 7, 200916 yr Author A few months back, PMDG announced that there would be an A320 after the 737. No further details have been released though.Paul
