September 19, 200916 yr Could someone give me a definitive list of meanings for the airport symbols.I thought it was like this:Pink = MajorBlue = MinorHollow Circle = unpavedSolid Circle = PavedHas points coming out in cardinal direction = Control TowerNo points = uncontrolledIs that right? I seem to find airports that don't fit that model sometimes, so I think I might be missing something. Sorry to ask such a basic question. I have a couple hundred hours into FSX, and I still don't seem to know 50% of everything I should.Didn't see anything in the learning center, and couldn't find any supplemental material online. (Can't find my manual at the moment either).Thanks.Just remembered that FSX follows suit with games today and has a tiny manual. I was thinking of the old versions that had a nice beefy manual to read through.
September 19, 200916 yr You can find this legend in the FSX -> "Charts" folder, or any sectional chart. Jeremy "rightseater" Fletcher
September 19, 200916 yr Just remembered that FSX follows suit with games today and has a tiny manual. I was thinking of the old versions that had a nice beefy manual to read through.FSX has a "beefier" manual. It's called the Learning Center and it's all html files in the FSX folder. F1 inside the sim, or Learning Center in the main menu. Outside of the sim (you can also) just point your browser to your "FSX"\Uires\lc01.htm file and have at it.I prefer the 'external' approach so I don't halt or switch from a flight in progress...Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
September 20, 200916 yr That's a pretty handy chart.I don't have any Charts folder under FSX main directory.Glad you posted it, I'll keep it someplace safe.I guess I was somewhat right, good to know the exact meanings.Like it said before, I checked the learning center pretty well for all things "chart" or "map" related, and there doesn't seem to be specific info there about understanding all the symbols.Anyway, thanks again guys.
