Hi, my FMS is not working, I uninstalled, then reinstalled FSXSp2, got one use. Now it does not work. Any other suggestions?VR Todd Hontz

I just did some messing around. I removed SP2 and started FSX without it, there were a lot of things messed up, but the J41 worked including the FMS, except the popup window. I think the popup window is a factor, or SP2 itself. I redownloaded SP2 and yielded the same result. I'm leaning toward something wrong with the popup window...VRTodd Hontz

hi when i first download the js41 had no problem in turning on the fms but now after 2 weeks found out it only turn on after about 5 flights or so , works in the turtorial everytime so now i start from there and than select what airport i want to start from. the other way is i can turn on the fms is to select the js41 from fsx menu and go to airport and than do a complete shut down.b4 i used to select the cessna default aircraft go to airport shut down the cessna engines avonics etc than select the js41 which will start from cold and dark with no problems but now for some reason its not happening no more so hope fully the sp1 will fix the bugsuppose my next option is maybe to uninstall the js41 and reinstall again already did the sp2 but no sucees thereso any ideas

Man, they seem to maybe have a handle on this time. As they have stated in the thread further on, the fix is to copy the glassga from your FSX fonts folder and place it in your Microsoft fonts folder that it and it surely worked instantly for me.

hi there yea but it doesnt work for me since i adlready got the glassga in my fonts already since mine is a different problem. if i only select the js41 from the fsx free flight menu and than select fly everything works ok is only when i select an default plane from free flight go to airport and than select the js 41 than the fms wont turn on everything else works it used to work b4 but not now?

This is what I did and it worked when nothing else would. Uninstall everything from your J41 install, all files, manually if necessary. Uninstall SP1, Sp2. Reinstall your SPs, then go to your fonts folder and just for the heck of it copy it and place it in your Microsoft fonts folder, overwrite if necessary. Reinstall your J41. Also make sure your Microsoft Visuals c++ library is up to date. Its been running for me now longer than it ever has. I hope this indeed does work for you. I've personally had mine working and failing now 3 times. But since this particular fix, its looks promising at this point. Good luck.

The required runtime libraries are installed by the pmdg installer, which you can run and select repair to see if that helps.

thx for that did the repair option and now everything working again shud have relized that there was a repair option just liked the other pmdg aircraft have :}

it lasted one flight before back to not turning on again the fms after the repair option guess have to wait till the sp1 comes out which hopefully fixes it so guess back to flying by vor which is more fun anyway stil can use the fms though if i select it from the free flight menu
