September 21, 200916 yr Why not use the FMC? Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
September 21, 200916 yr In fact, you really should use the navigation equipment in this aircraft; otherwise, you would be happy with the default airplane. Using the MSFS GPS gauge is a problem if you want to use it for anything other than seeing where in the world you are (use a top down view window zoomed out for that), because the navdata is not in MSFS but within the PMDG simulation only. September 21, 200916 yr but is more easy to aproach and for navigation....is possible send me the steps needed... for exemple this site...http://www.wilcopub.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=support_addgps
September 21, 200916 yr I recommend you use the default 737 if you are not willing to learn how to use the 737 systems; IMHO the B737 FMS is the easiest system I have found to navigate, I wish the Garmin 530 in the real airplane I fly was as powerful and "easy" to use. Dan Downs KCRP
September 21, 200916 yr but to aproach is more dificult...i fly with this aircraft and he is more hard to aproach because de fmc not display the heading of the runway...
September 21, 200916 yr Please sign your posts in this forum. Are you referring to a visual approach? If you select the runway then you also get to select an extended centerline fix.Are you referring to an ILS? If so the final approach course is displayed on both the CDU and the ND.Are you sure you have given the FMS a try? Dan Downs KCRP
September 22, 200916 yr I have to admit that this has to be one of the most bizarre requests I have read...Correct programming of the NG's FMS and the display of the data on the navigation display is ideal, and the capabilities of the unit, with the current AIRAC data, make navigating with it easiere than with the built in GNS500 thingy from FS9...I am inclined to ask the same questions Dan...Andrew Andrew Entwistle
