September 28, 200916 yr Hello,I am going to build a rig with a I7-950, GTX285, 6GB of DDR3-1600. I'd like the ability to add video cards later for SLI or to be able to switch over to ATI.I'm seeing the following models:P6T Deluxe V2 P6T P6T WS PRO P6T SEWhich one do I want? They either seem the same or the specs don't appear to be apples-apples. I can't see any difference , besides the price, between the Deluxe V2 and the SE.I'm looking at NewEgg BTW. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....mp;x=6&y=31Also, if anyone has another board that they would like to recommend, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks, MSFS Premium Deluxe Edition; Windows 11 Pro, I9-9900k; Asus Maximus XI Hero; Asus TUF RTX3080TI; 32GB G.Skill Ripjaw DDR4 3600; 2X Samsung 1TB 970EVO; NZXT Kraken X63; Seasonic Prime PX-1000, LG 48" C1 Series OLED, Honeycomb Yoke & TQ, CH Rudder Pedals, Logitech G13 Gamepad
September 29, 200916 yr I have the P6T Deluxe V2. Haven't had any issues with it, but then again have only had it for about 2 weeks now. Has a lot of options for overclocking. Steve Jordan Aviation Structural Mechanic SH-60B/HH-60H/MH-60R/MH-60S USN FSX Hours: 3000 and counting

September 29, 200916 yr Jeff,You want the P6T Deluxe V2.Like Jeff, I have been trying to detect the significant (for FS) differences among these boards. Can you explain why the P6T Deluxe V2 is more suitable than the P6T?Thanks.Jim
September 29, 200916 yr Like Jeff, I have been trying to detect the significant (for FS) differences among these boards. Can you explain why the P6T Deluxe V2 is more suitable than the P6T?Thanks.JimI do not know why it would be more suitable for your application. Per Jeff's original request where he is looking for a SLI/Crossfire solution the V2 would be the way to go. It's the latest iteration of the P6T which means enhancements per the original design. Not all P6T boards support both SLI and Crossfire some support crossfire only. There is also a difference of on board sound, networking, ports etc.. between the various motherboards. Look at the specs they are not all identical. The P6T WS is designed for workstation use and has more storage controller options where as the other boards are designed for the overclocking gamer.Regards,Bob

Both the P6T and the P6T Deluxe V2 support SLI and Crossfire - although different flavours of both, it seems. I saw the other differences you mention and the V2 did not seem to me to offer obvious advantages for a FS system; but, that would depend on individual needs/wants.Thanks, again.Jim
September 29, 200916 yr I'm not sure with regard to more than one GPU in SLI as I have only been using my single EVGA 285. But the reason you may want the v2 board over the original P6T is the fact that the original P6T also included a newly developed SAS controller chip. It was that chip that prevented many add-on controllers such as my 3Ware hardware raid card from booting properly. The 3ware card has worked flawlessly in my P6T Deluxe V2 because that SAS controller was removed. Hence the $10 cheaper price difference at the time of my purchase late last Spring. It's been a very reliable, easy overclocker since the day I fired it up. Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE
