October 3, 200916 yr Author Think your entry might not be quite in the right format.Check out http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/FMC_WP_Entry_NotesJohn EllisonThank you JohnTried the wiki ones state:737/747: NDDMM.MM/WDDDMM.MM SDDMM.MM/EDDDMM.MM, etcthus my entry on scratchpad would be:N4950.04E00838.10 but once again NOT IN DATABASE errorThe PMDG manual for the 737 gives following example:"For example, entry for a latitude/longitude waypoint at the geographic location N33 Joaquin Blanco Intel Core i9-9900K at 5Ghz, Corsair Hydro H100i RGB PLATINUM CPU cooler, Asus ROG STRIX Z390-E,Motherboard, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super 8GB GDDR6, G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB DDR4 3200MHz Memory, 500GB Samsung 970 EVO PLUS M.2 PCIe,2TB Samsung 860 QVO Solid State Drive, 2TB, 2 x Samsung 860 Evo 2TB, 1 x 1TB Samsung 860 Evo, Corsair RM650x 80 PLUS Gold 650W PSU.
October 3, 200916 yr Read it again, the entry with decimal point is for MD11 only I believe. Disregard, I read it again, the format for the 737 does use: NDDMM.MM/WDDDMM.MM, my memory is so poor.I'll fire up the 737 and give it a try myself. Dan Downs KCRP
October 3, 200916 yr I guess the wiki article needs editing. As you pointed out, the 737 manual doesn't call for a decimal point so my memory was right on this one. Also, you must enter the custom waypoint on the LEGS page (not the RTE page).Taking your original N 49 50 04.5708 E 0008 38 10.3178 (that is a lot of precision for a waypoint, I seldom see more than 0.1 precision) converted to decimal minutes becomes N 49 50.1 E 008 38.2 (convert seconds to minutes by dividing by 60).I can enter N49501E008382 into the LEGs page of a 737 without error.Hope this helps, thanks for finding the error in wiki.
