October 16, 200916 yr Why is it when I approach YSSY for 16L, the localizer aligns me to the right side of the runway. This doesn't happen with any other runway at any other airport only 16L at YSSY? October 16, 200916 yr Assuming you've got the chart and it is not an offset localizer, try these tips (or if just one airport check the AFCAD): http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/How_t...Tracking_Errors Dan Downs KCRP
October 16, 200916 yr Andrew,Does it show this problem in default FS aircraft?Approach worked for me in the Dreamfleet Baron, as a quick test.I used runway heading.Edit: I used HDG=155What heading did you use per your approach chart? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

This doesn't happen with any other runway at any other airport only 16L at YSSY?Andrew,In default FSX the 16L Loc is mis-aligned by 0.82 degrees. As Dan said already, this is AFCAD related. If you like to correct this, I suggest a program like ADE (Airport Design Editor)Regards,Harry

October 17, 200916 yr I'm not wanting to pick nits here, but you guys shouldn't be using RWY 16L at night like that. The poor people trying to listen to the music at the Marrickville Bowling Club will be unable to hear me sing. And the folks wanting to watch TV in Sydnenham will be annoyed because they'll be watching NCIS or Miami CSI and the dialogue will be like "... and the killer is .... . WHOOOOCH ROAR WHOOOSH .............. do you understand?"Actually when i think about it some more, perhaps it would be a small mercy for the folks at Marrickville Bowling Club if they dont hear me sing.
October 17, 200916 yr Author Thanks guys for your responses. Looks like an FSXism and not a problem with my files. Andrew Dixon"If common sense was compulsory everyone would have it but I am afraid this is not the case"
