PSS 777 bug - cant tune COM radio

Featured Replies

HelloI just recently experienced a weird bug with my PSS777 add-on plane for FS9. I've used it alot but now suddently after 10-15 minutes i can't tune the radio. And also my flood light (at night) doesnt work anymore. When i try to roll on the radio-knobs then they roll but the numbers stay.Anyone experienced that problem? And know what it could be?CheersJesper

The problem is the APU/Electric configuration, is a PSS default aircraft.cfg configuration problem, Fs9 couldn't manage electricity when it comes from APU, fs9 didn't recognize it, so after 10-15 minutes fs9 assume that the battery has discharged, you can see the instruments ON but, some instruments stop to function, COM/NAV are off, external lights are off......... if you start the engines you will see the radio and lights comes ON....I found a way to elude this problem just editing the aircraft.cfg, you will found it in your ...:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\PSS-B772LR ,search for the [electrical] subsection of the file, and go at the line:"electric_always_available = 0"change the "0" to "1"that's all :Dhope this help ;)

This might be worth a quick readhttp://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=217068Mark

Hi Gang.I don't know why people keep coming out with this you "Must start with the default Cesna" in order to fix this, it's Wrong. There is an assignment within the FS9 Assignments list to "Reload User Aircraft" which when assigned to a key will fix this. There is no need to keep switching aircraft all the time. :(

Steve, the "default flight" saves sixteen additional bits of state data more than a regular "saved flight." Quite often, these additional bits of state data are what is required to fully restore all of the necessary states to normal."Reload User Aircraft" does not always result in resetting these missing bits of state data to normal.

Just out of curiosity, if you have time in your busy day, what are they? And are you referring to the "out of the box" default flight, C172 @ KSEA, or any user defined "default flight"?regards,JoePS. I am often wondering when people refer to the "default flight" if they are talking about the "out of the box" MS default flight, or a "user defined" default flight. Not always the same thing.
