October 29, 200916 yr Heya people,I have been repainting for some time now, but most of the stuff I've done usually had straight lines. Not all, but most of them. I'm now doing a SLM livery for the Wilco 737-300, but I'm having a bit of trouble assessing the yellow/orange/red lines. Could you guys take a look at the picture (above) and my paint (below), and give any comments? It's the positioning of the lines I'm interested in, the colors are a bit dull too, which is dues to Wilco's paintkit. I may or may not change that, haven't decided yet...NOTE: SLM has two of these. The photograph you see below is of one of the planes before the actual painting was ready, and so it misses the flag of Suriam, the reg number and the www.simfly.com adress. You might also notice that some parts just don't seem to fit. Honestly, I've tried everything to get it right, but it doesn't work out. That's mostly because of Wilco's model, which seems to be a bit different than the real thing in some areas, which is quite frustrating for repainters. It's simply impossible to capture some of the details the way you wanted. Alas, I can't do anything about that...Thanks in advance! February 10, 201016 yr Author Wow, somebody responded! Pity I released the paint already close to two months ago...AA in the sim or in Photoshop? If you mean in the sim, then I am using it per Nick's instructions (meaning it's active in Enhancer, not in FSX itself). If you mean in Photoshop, then I have absolutely no idea how one should turn it on. February 20, 201016 yr Author I don't really have a problem, but you mentioned you could tell me how to make lines smoother. I'd be very grateful if you could tell me how to do that. Mainly on the noses of the aircraft I paint, you always see a sort of "layering" of lines that doesn't look as good as I'd want it to be. The lines there are not as smooth as they are on other people's repaints. It's the one thing I have always wondered about but never knew how to do it. I'm using Photoshop CS3. February 21, 201016 yr Thralni,Looks very sweet. I should have a modified layer some where which corrects some of the problems your talking about(which I might presume is the APU intake door on the left side as well as a few other out standing items); I try and find it and send it to you when I do. (Or should I say "bedankt" :( )SkyNight: Well, if you could send it to me, that'd be awesome. There are more things, though, that don't seem to really fit. If you look at the Surinam Airways text on the fuselage, you'll see it's not really as in the picture. Fact is, it's impossible to bget it to fit exactly because the model doesn't seem to be the same as the photographed 737. Very annoying business...
