October 29, 200916 yr Hello everyone,as every week, i scan my system with ad-aware and anti-virus program. This time, my Anti-virus program found 3 trojans or so within the Loadmanager of the PMDG-MD11 and 747.when it asked me, if i would like to repair it, i confirmed and, well, it "repaired" it, what ever that means. however, now my shortcuts on my desktop, linkin to the loadmanagers, are gone and i can't find them anymore. they are not inside the pmdg folder within the fsx folder.what can i do? do i have have to reinstall both planes again?p.s.: my anti-virus program is called "Avira Anti-Vir Personal" and i also use "Ad-Aware" both updated nearly every day.help would be appreciated very much.thanks in advanceDominik Tedja
October 29, 200916 yr Run the installers and select repair. You might consider excluding the MSFS folders from the scans. Dan Downs KCRP
October 29, 200916 yr Just in this minutes I've got 9 reports from AVIRA Antivirus about the Load_Manager.It isn't unusual that AVIRA shows false positives... I think that will happen with many virus scanners..I have sent the loadmanager to AVIRA with a hint for the false positive that they can check what happend. Are there any ideas from PMDG whats happen?guenter steiner Guenter Steiner -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Betatester for: A2A, LORBY, FSR-Pillow Tester --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe it has something to do with their latest update...just very strange, i also received numerous other messages concerning the same trojan on another hard disc....first time after about 1 year that i receiv virus alarms..however, i will try the repair thing, hopefully with success :(Dominik Tedjaedit: ok, just did a repair and after the installer added the missing loadmanager.exe, my virus software again alarmed me, that loadmanager would be a trojan called "XGen" something...is it possible that this trojan somehow merges with the loadmanger, or inject itself into the manager??? i'm not a professional but as long as i don't know what's going on, i will not reinstall the loadmanager again.
October 29, 200916 yr I think it is more a problem with a false postitive alert than the loadmanager. NAV 2009 is quite happy with the files. Dan Downs KCRP
October 29, 200916 yr I've got Feedback from AVIRA thats a false positive. Will be solved with the next update.Till then you can choose "ignore" when the alert comes up... October 29, 200916 yr I guess you are looking at a reinstall then. Tip: Uninstall the liveries before the plane. Install plane, make sure it is okay, then install liveries. Dan Downs KCRP

You will then get an option to repair. I had do this after running the 737 removal tool; it wiped out the load managers for both the 747 and MD-11. October 31, 200916 yr Hey All,Glad I'm not the only one who has this problem and that I found this post. Sounds like it might have to do with the last update. I'm going to try to repair and shut down Avira. Oh by the way, I'm using Avira Anti virus too.;-)
