November 21, 200916 yr In lay-mens terms, FSUIPC is like a wire between your computer and your modem. It enables outside programs to communicate with MSFS. A majority of fs addons require FSUIPC because the programs need to access data from MSFS and FSUIPC enables them to do so. JR
