November 26, 200916 yr Hi allI am not happy at all!(beside the problem :( with PMDG 747 on my vista machine - see my other post)I just installed FSX acceration on my IBM laptop (just formated xp32 sp3, but the whole FSX flightplanner is buged out, when ever I save a flight and then load it (all the flight plan are lost on load - empty GPS with no flight path, on the knne board it shows waypoint namesbut otherwise all the entry is zero! it's like half of the information with the flight plan file is missing on loading) I just don't know what to do???never had the problem beforePlease help me!
November 26, 200916 yr It seem like I can only creat new flight plans, but as soon as I try to LOAD any flight plan again it's buged out - go to edit tab (under the default planner) the map will justfocus on a single way point - the table on the right still shows the waypoints of the flight plan but when i click on them nothing happens - i should be able to jump to other instantly but i can't!If you check the nav log it's all empty:Churchill -> CiampinoDistance: 0.0 nmEstimated fuel burn: 0.0 gal / 0.0 lbEstimated time en route: 0:00WaypointsRouteAlt (ft)HdgDistanceGS (kts)Fuel (gal/lb)Time offLeg9.90:00CYYQRemEstEstETE0.0ActActATEYYQ (114.10)(VOR)-D->940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / 75YEK(waypoint)NCA24940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / GABRO(waypoint)NCA24940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / DARIT(waypoint)NCA24940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / YVQ (112.70)(VOR)NCA24940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / YGH (112.30)(VOR)J516940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / YEV (112.50)(VOR)J516940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / ADREW(waypoint)NCA23940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / RODLU(waypoint)ACAR940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / ROKMA(waypoint)ACAR940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / ROMDI(waypoint)ACAR940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / ROGSO(waypoint)ACAR940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / 77PR(waypoint)PTSR940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / 71PR(waypoint)PTSR940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / 66PR(waypoint)PTSR940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / MATIK(waypoint)PTSR940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / BESGA(waypoint)UN615940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / STN (115.10)(VOR)UN615940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / NEVIS(waypoint)UN601940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / TLA (113.80)(VOR)UN601940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / ABKAT(waypoint)UL613940060.0840.0 / 0.00:000.0 / the table is not complete but you get the picturePlease help me!thank you all

November 26, 200916 yr sorry about the rush guys, really sorry since i just want some answers that's allanyway i have just stuck my head in a pool of ice water - to cool myself downback to the problem - this is already the second time that i have done the reinstall of FSXlike I have said in the previous post I just did a total format of that laptop so should i try toreinstall again (bit time consuming) for the 3rd time (don't think it will make a difference) orthere could be another factor causing it?thanks

November 26, 200916 yr Hi Thanks for understanding meTo answer your question:Did you try to load the flight planner just after your fresh install (no addons!) ?Yes I did, no add ons what so ever.Did you load FSX once before installing the SP1 and do the same thing before installing Acceleration or SP2?No I installed FSX and then activated it and went stright to the expansion installDid you reboot your PC? No
November 26, 200916 yr Don't feel to badly, I've had years like that. lolI would un-install Acceleration and apply only the SP1 and SP2 patches and then see how things are.The only other thing I can currently think of is whether you are loading from a location that is not really where the current plans are being saved.In the past I noticed that FSX seems to load a plan that had not been replaced correctly.Or maybe the original plan file is protected and is not getting over-written.Try cleaning out your Windows Temp directory too.Also look around in the directories where the fsx.CFG file is stored and see if there are any plan files, if there are any you might just have to delete them and start over. November 26, 200916 yr here is a little updatetried to install FSX on my IBM for the third time - did flight without applying sp2(acceralation) butit's buged out stright uptried my desk top - did flight without applying sp2(acceralation) it seems to work at first, and then installed acceration - i then closed down my pc - (but it forze on shut down) when i restarted and went back to fsx - it's all BUGED out againjust thinking is my dvd installing corrupted files?
November 27, 200916 yr btw are payware plans like leveld 767, wilco 737pic or pmdg affected by this (hope they don't have anything to do with the buged fsx planner) - what i mean is if ichose the fly the complex payware aircraft i can avoid the problem since they have their own navdata base?can anyone confirm?other wise i will be crying :( (all that money wasted!!! because of buged out fsx flight planner)

I recall reading posts where individuals had problems with FS9 flight plans in FSX (I haven't so far but mine are very basic plans). There's a converter to convert FS9 flightplans to FSX and you can get it here: http://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads-fil...68-details.html. I really don't think it's your FSX/Acceleration installation. It sounds like you have properly installed it. But if you brought over files from older versions of FS, this may be your problem. You can use the converter I suggested or prepare new flight plans via the FSX flight planner. Hope this helps!Best regards,Jim
