December 22, 200916 yr Yeah, FSX limits the perfect overcast, I mean I fly often and have very close overcast but the problem with FSX is that it seems to hold space open directly above and below you. There was a comment from Vololiberista on the first page of this topic where he created an awesome overcast look by editing the fsx.cfg changing the CLOUD_COVERAGE_DENSITY=8 value to 12. The problem is that FSX will revert this (I think) back to 8. The one who posted the bleow link was using fs9.Works fine in FSX too. It has an impact on your framerate but you get a wonderful view in return. Yesterday I flew from LFSN to EGSS and it was clouds all over. Did not see the ground until 300ft above the runway. Look at some screenshots of another flight with density=12.
