There is no question, ASA for weather (or even default FS9 is better). For three days I've been trying to get REX weather to work and just like a lot of people I get clear skies or some distant clouds but that's it. Nothing remotely close to real world METAR, ASA or even the default FS9 weather engine!Maybe they will sought it out, but for now, don't purchase REX with the hope of real weather out of the box.

Thanks Mike.I will watch topics regarding REX weather, although my primary reason for buying REX are textures.ASV works great.ThanksEdin

I second the above - incredibly complicated and not worth the money over ASV - I was really looking forward to an alternative but this is not it in my opinion. cant get real weather at all and if this is typical of the stuff the opposition sell will never buy from there again

Mike I have already responded to your thread in our forum. I will echo it here.We have been receiving reports that the wx depiction was not matching the metar reports for some users. In an emergency session yesterday, the team and I have found what might be causing this for some folks. We are still trying to nail it down, and at that time we will create a service pack to fix it. But please understand, this is not a problem for all users. We are aware of the problems and they WILL get fixed.

I might chime in very quickly here - I had a chance to test the product for about 20min today, unfortunately don't have much more time. All in all, very good package! I don't regret getting it at all.Anyway, weather engines is working great for me, it creates clouds just above my position, very similar (weather-wise) to what I am seeing now outside.Interface is very simple to use, everything is configurable - textures are great, and I find it brings a fresh breath into FS9.Definitely can recommend it.

I recommend it too.I installed it... went of to fly some, and was mighty pleased with what I saw.Did use AS for weather, though, but FS9 just got an injection of life elixeras far as I'm concerned. It looks phenomenal.cheersJP.
