I've toggled "show cockpit tooltips" on in the "Aircraft' tab, but in VC I do not get any information when scrolling over the various instruments, can't tell what my prop pitch & fuel mix settings are, etc. Any ideas?

You are using DX10 in full screen?If yes, it won't work... Windowed only or DX9

Also, the particular aircraft you are flying may not have too tips written for it.

Hello,Just for information:I have Vista 32 bit, DX11 (per DXDIAG) and FSX Tool Tips are ok in windowed mode and full screen mode on default Cessna, default LearJet 45 and payware aircraft ...But, I am not in DX10 preview ... so, FSX is DX9 ....So, while playing a game (any game, not just FSX) how do you know what mode you are in (active) .. DX9, 10, 11 etc?
