  1. Hi guys: First, thanks for this amazing software! I'm brand new to FS2 Crew; the Dash-8 is my first foray and am wondering about closing the main panel. I assigned a single key to the "Autofeather (arm/off)" in FSX and using it brings up the main panel but it will not close it. The manual section "Opening and Closing the Main Panel" seems to imply that the same key should toggle the panel "off," no? Also, I'm able to reposition the main panel window normally by dragging, but is there a way to resize it using the mouse (or in the panel.cfg)? Again, many thanks. I can't wait to get it working!
  2. Re FS Earth, I used it for awhile (networked) but it wasn't long before the FS Earth driver started causing BSOD crashes, and very often. The error log clearly pointed to the FS Earth driver and I discarded it. I now use Plan G (networked) and am completely happy with it. In my opinion FS Earth is not ready for prime time.
  3. Anytime, mate. Actually I was initially very enthusiastic about using FS Earth. It was fun watching Google Earth fly by on another monitor, until things went south.
  4. I used FS Earth via a networked 2nd computer and it resulted in consistent BSOD crashes. I definitively tracked it down to the driver for the program as the culprit. I searched the site's forums and elsewhere and though there is not much activity there were other reported instances of this problem. Haven't used it since.
  5. Hi all: Am getting near-constant BSOD crashes. Here are screenshots from three of the last four from "Blue Screen Viewer:" Can anyone spot what the problem might be? My computer specs: OS: Win7/64 Pro MB: ASUS P877-V Pro (Intel Z77) CPU: Intel i7 3770K (4.5 GHz o/c) liquid-cooled RAM: 32 GB DDR3 SDRAM GPU: nVidia GTX 680 PSU: 950w HD: 512 GB SSD FSX Version: Accel.
  6. Hi all: Is anyone running GET on a networked Win7/64 setup? I'm having trouble getting it to work. I've read both the "how to" articles the author provided, have my two computers properly networked, with the Simconnect Tool installed on the server computer. The client computer with GET does recognize the server (FSX) computer with a "green" icon in the system tray. I'm stuck at what to do next. I'm thinking that it probably is a simple step, and probably has to do with inputting a .kml file or such, but haven't been able to figure it out. The documentation is pretty weak on this last step.
  7. Yup, DX10 full-screen. Thanks.
  8. I've toggled "show cockpit tooltips" on in the "Aircraft' tab, but in VC I do not get any information when scrolling over the various instruments, can't tell what my prop pitch & fuel mix settings are, etc. Any ideas?
  9. All of a sudden, my flight checklists and references are in Spanish. How does one change this back to English?

Howdy all:I'm brand-new to FSX, having recently hung up my wings flying combat flight sims after many years. I have a new rig (Win7/64) with DX11 installed. I'm currently testing all kinds of tweaks with FSX, but have noticed that changing the in-game "DX10 Preview" to "on" seemed to fix some stutter & frame-rate problems I was having. My question is this: Is running DX11, either with "DX10 Preview" on or off, going to cause problems? (I did note that on one occasion using these settings my video went to black and I had to back out of the game & re-load it. But, it hasn't recurred. I was guessing that perhaps that was caused by running DX11.)
