December 28, 200916 yr Can anyone recommend the pilot in command series? I'm tempted by the 737 but would also like to know if the airbus series is just as good.Do they have realistic functionality similar to captain sim and leveld products? Or are they just glorified fsx default aircraft???Thanks Tom Tom Why not read some useful tips and tricks - http://forum.avsim.n...22#entry1965722

December 29, 200916 yr On FS9, absolutely; on FSX, no way Jose. They are unsupported portovers and not ready for Vista/7. I say this from experience, but others will surely disagree with me. The 737 on FS9 was a goodie. Jeff Bea I am an avid globetrotter with my trusty Lufthansa B777F, Polar Air Cargo B744F, and Atlas Air B748F.

Or are they just glorified fsx default aircraft???Thanks TomI used to have both, and they're a lot better than the default aircraft. The 737 is the one to go for. It's very stable now on FSX, looks pretty good and works as it should on autopilot (something which my recently-purchased CS 767 is having problems emulating...). Of course, it's not up to PMDG quality in terms of systems, but delivers a creditable and satisfying performance. The A320 gives you an idea of the Airbus way of doing things, but the product is more simplified than the Boeing, and still buggy. Unfortunately, on my system I found it very unstable, with major problems just getting it to follow an ILS (the A330/340 is even worse). The FBW is pretty well simulated in normal flight, but I could never get on with that autopilot and spent most of my time getting irate, instead of having an enjoyable experience. For me, the 737 is a clear winner. Hope that helps.IanPS. @ Crewecut, I would say 'flown AND managed'. For BOTH aircraft...

December 29, 200916 yr Does anyone know when the pmdg version is due out???They are not giving any dates - early december they said that they might post first screen shots sometime February, so a finished product probably not until late 2010 is my guess.
