Does anybody have experiences with the MD-11 and extreme low tempertures. Actually planning a trip to CYFB and the METAR looks like this: CYFB 211900Z 33029KT 5SM R35/4500VP6000FT/D BLSN FEW100 M31/M36 A2994 RMK BLSN2AC1 SLP145 :( Don't want to be trapped into this field. But the A380 did his low temp tests so the MD-11 will cope with it anyway :( Denis

I'm pretty sure the FCOM has a cold weather operations section. I was looking at one the other day and I think it was the MD11.

Yes there's something in the FCOM. But the question is if I get all the systems running on next DEP. :(

You would do everything the same as you normally would do except you would let the engines idle a bit longer than usual to allow the oil to heat up. Until the oil pressure is back to normal.Kevin W.
