January 23, 201016 yr Hi, there is a problem with runway assignment in LIPZ - Venice. The correct runway for TO and landing is normally the 04R, but RC gives me 04L anytimes, why?The 04L is normally used as partial taxyway, and sometime (work in progress or other matter) for TO and landing. Is there any problem with RC database?I use AS6.5 for the weather. January 23, 201016 yr Commercial Member Is there any problem with RC database? The RC database is built from your scenery. If your scenery doesn't have the runway closed then it will be used. Don't you find AI using it too? RC normally chooses the same runway as the AI.RegardsPete Win10: 22H2 19045.2728 CPU: 9900KS at 5.5GHz Memory: 32Gb at 3800 MHz. January 26, 201016 yr If you close 4L be sure to close 12R if not already closed.I thought RC didn't "read" AFCAD files to understand if one runway is available or not and that V5 will have this feature. I think jd told me once that the only way was to manually cancel the rwy from the list within RC's database. But maybe I am wrong.

That's you plus AI. The only way you can do that is by using afcad2.If you are using PFE then you must also tell PFE that said rwy is closed to traffic. Once done ATC will not vector you or anyone alse on to the closed rwy. There are many airports that have unusual traffic patterns which are different to the default assumptions. Particularly airports with parallel rwys. FS9 ATC uses both rwys for take off and landing vectoring a/c to the nearest rwy from the direction they are coming. In practice such airports for obvious safety reasons use one rwy dedicated for take off the other for landing. EGLL is a good example. In the Heathrow update 2008 upgrade available on avsim 27L/09R is designated take-off whereas 27R/09L is for landing. All a/c obey (severe punitive fines notwithstanding!)Vololiberista Super VC10 into LOWI with PF3 at a cinema near you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=298UDyNmgUA
