Pushback distance (deflt 737)

Featured Replies

Happy new customer here. Just completed my first flight - took a few aborted attempts, but I'm used to the FS2C learning curve (and think this is the easiest by some tune, though of course the plane is not so complex).A couple of questions:Can we reduce the pushback distance below the 80' minimum I come up against? At EGNM that throws me back across the apron and onto the grass. I seem to recall 30' pbs for the 767 version (though haven't booted it up to try it). Presumably a fixable issue?Secondly, what are the various noises that play once you start the preflight? Sounds like drills n phones, but I'd like to know more.It would be nice to have the option to instruct the FO to set new MCP values... I take the point that once the AP is on, the PF has the chance - but still, I do like the voice control, can't we spoil ourselves with it a bit?Last, a checklist/flow/dialogue list in one, all in chronological order, would be a huge boon - it's hard flicking between 3 or 4 sections of the manual, even when it's printed. To report positively: - love it, more please; I'd pay to upgrade my 767, QotS & MD 11 versions to voice (not my ATR... too much like hard work, all that stuff to remember - though maybe with voice...) - my framerates are good. The odd stutter, but nothing serious. Will have to see how it interacts with more intensive addons. Performance 9.5/10 - I'm using a

Thanks Bryan for the usual swift & helpful reply.I've had a crack at a basic checklist/flow guide, I've put it in the avsim file library and made a post in this forum about it. Figured I can't complain about the lack of one, if I'm not prepared to have a go!As to pushback, I assume the only way to change the distance is to L/R click on it? If so, then no, you can't get below 80' - I just swapped to metres, and that drops to a minimum of 20, which of course is a little less than 80'. Better, but there are still places where I'd prefer to drop it to e.g. 10m/35'. Left-clicking at present just stops at the minima - unless I'm missing something obvious.

BryanIf you could reduce the pushback distance it would be appreciated. It would keep me out of the grass sometimes.ThanksPeter
