NGX Reboot is under development!
Bryan Great to hear about NGX Reboot. It's good to see the product being developed further. The current version has seen plenty of use by me. Looking forward to it. Thanks Peter

Using a Matrox Box for FSX Multi Monitors
Lucevan replied to Markrem's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI've used the Matrox TripleHead2Go for some years and it works well. It needs three monitors the same, and works within a window best. The screen frames are generally no big issue with the bezel correction. I use the second output from the videocard for a fourth monitor for GPS etc. There must be a better way of doing it these days though with the better cards now available. Cheers Peter

Aerosoft airbus x fs2crew? Opinions?
I thought the FS2Crew added a lot to the AXE experience, but then I like talking to my computer, and I like it when it answers me back.

Upcoming A2A Cessna 182T Skylane Accu-Sim Aircraft
It was a suprising choice to me, but as their stuff is so good I'm looking forward to it. So far they've managed to capture the feel of the planes they model so they are all very different. Credit card ready.

This may be stupid but.....
First I really like DX10 fixer. The smoke and water spray no longer flashes in time with the aircraft lights. Yipee. Now the stupid bit. The way scenery items 'pop up' really annoys me. Is there some way they can be made to 'fade' in if you know what I mean? Is it a result of the way things are 'drawn' in FSX, or is it far more complicated than that. Sorry Peter

New post from Steve on his WordPress site...
Many years ago when I started trying out DX10 I wished that someone would fix it. I said at the time I would be happy to pay for a fix. In fact Steve fixed one issue that I specifically requested about car headlights. So yes I will be happy to pay. But then I'm a DX10 addict......

A2A Cessna 172 now available
I really like this C172, but it does seem to me it need a lot of revs to get it to start moving on the ground. Once it's going it's alright. Anyway I'm enjoying it.

SibWings Release Their An-2
This is a nice plane. As usual I didn't bother to read the manual. Took off and had an engine fire. That impressed me. So I've taken time to work out how to fly it. For the money this is one of the best FSX deals I've seen. Peter

Money spend on addons
Compared to real world flying this stuff is cheap. That's what I keep telling myself anyway. Peter

Wales close to release
I'm a bit tempted. It's not a large area so I hope the quality will be better than England. The free Cardiff is not much of an attraction as I have the uk2000 version. However flying out of Bristol in the NGX may be better when turning north. It depends on the cost for me.

FS2Crew Emergency NGX! Released
I like the voice control. It makes it much more realistic. The whole Emergency bit adds a whole new challenge and level of interest. The aussie voice is good as well. I'm well pleased with it.

DX10 and Compatible Airports
CEN4 Version 2 freeware from ORBX for NRM seems to work in DX10 now. Yipee. Peter

Rex postage
10-14 days if I remember rightly. Peter

Goodwood Released
I quite like Goodwood. With the surrounding area it is possible fly a cucuit using visual refence points. On the default FTX airfields there's not enough features to tell where you are, with whole towns missing. I think as it's local to the developers base they've probably gone to a bit more trouble. (Some of up north looked a bit stange to me). So I wasn't disappointed, but it wouldn't be my first choice of airfield for the UK.

Steve's Bkg.BMP does more...
It's great that the static aircraft now have textures, the AI have textures, and the scenery night textures are there even if not lit. Another great improvement. Thanks Peter

I like the dark background. A great idea. Thanks Peter

Orbx England What Do You Think?
Keith Whilst I wish some of the towns (especially in the south-west) were better defined, I think what you and the team have achieved is a great step forward for UK flight simming. Now about Wales..... Many thanks. Your work is appreciated. Peter

Orbx England What Do You Think?
The download and install was smooth for me. I do think some of the scenery 'tiles' are a bit obvious in places. To me its not as seamless as NZ for eample. Peter

Orbx England What Do You Think?
My first impressions are good. No problem with UK2000 airfields noted so far. The level of detail is probably not good enough to do VFR flying for real though. Some of the towns are missing or a bit too small. The roads are there but not the builings. FPS are good though. It does look good on the whole. Just don't expect to find your house, or your town.
