md11/ usaf refueling tanker repaint

Featured Replies

I am looking for an repainting expert to create for me a usaf arial refueling tanker in the usaf livery using the md11 as the base model. in grey and white scheme and also in the airforce grey too, any tanker squadron logos would do. Im willing to pay real money for this project. any takers contact me via e-mail. [email protected]. This is serious business. thanks for any consideration. Edd Jones.

Edd - Are you looking for FSX or FS9 textures? If I have time I will do them but no money is required.

I would be intrested in a USAF tanker repaint as well, even just a "cargo" version like a C-17 skin for the MD-11!James Bower

Would it be possible to make one up for the MD11 to use in FSX?Thanks

Hi fellas - Sorry, have not started on the repaints as of yet. I will work on them this week on days off (Wed/Thur/Fri/Sat) and hopefully get something out before Sunday when I go back to work.

I had just been thinking about this since there are no good DC-10's out there. I had been flying a fantasy version of the Level-d C767 out PHNL to some Pacific locations. I am looking forward to this.Andrew DeLaney

Hi fellas - Just a quick update to let you know where things are. I have had a little time to work on the project but not as much as I had hoped. I have been in contact with Pete Sterling (Mac_Paint) PMDG's artist regarding the inability to remove the shine from the finished textures. It seems that it is coded into the model file and cannot be removed although Pete will have a chat with Vin and see if he could work on new model content. Having said that I will move ahead anyway and finish the project albeit without a true matte finish. hope you guys don't mind.Anyway I am off to the city to check out some of the Olympic festivities and I'll get back to finishing the paint this afternoon, watch for me on TV :(

Hey Robert, thanks for the info and for taking on the paint job.If the aircraft has a shiney finish thats all right for me. Beggers can't be choosers I say! Thanks again.
