January 24, 201016 yr Hi ChumsJust bought my self a new desktop pc with windows 7 and a big new lcd monitor to fly my favourite PMDG MD11 (FSX). But the view is not as good as my 2 year old laptop. The ground is dithering, I usually fly in 2d mode, and there is a band just above the glareshield that is flickering. I flew the generic MS 737 earlier and that was fine. I pressed all the anti bi-tri whatsit buttons but didn't seem to make any difference.Any advice, thanks.
January 24, 201016 yr Hi ?I have on the odd occasion had to reinstall everything, and during one of my reinstalls I came across an easy to follow installation and set up / tweaking guide for FSX by a Simviation (and AVSIM) forum member by the name of NickN.If you head to the Simviation site and look in the FSX forum section the subject is a contained in sticky at the top, It may help and certainly can not harm anything.I hope its of some help, and my apologies for not giving a direct answer of this or that is the problem, but there are just to many variables in setting up to be able to confidently (for me anyway) to do that, in addition I have no experience of Win 7 as I run a Vista set up.It would also be a good idea to sign your name to posts, as not only is it a forum requirement, but it also helps to know who you are talking to.Good luck with setting up FSX.Jim Hodkinson

Many times it gives a much better view.Eric Eric van Dorp
February 10, 201016 yr I get this on occasion, normally only on arrival into certain addon airports. It is as if the default ground textures beneath the airport addon textures are coming through, and there is a zone around the aircraft that flashes...One developer indicated it could be an issue with aircraft that have a simulated GPWS...Andrew Andrew Entwistle
