February 6, 201016 yr Hi to @ll,as most of you know there are some nVidia models (like my GTX-295) which don't work properly Anti-Aliasing in DX10 mode. Nore checking the internal AA mode of FSX, neither using nHancer to force AA. I know that GTX-285 can run AA in DX10-mode without any problems. But how do I get my GTX-295 to do anti-aliasing when using DX10? There MUST be a possibility to solve this and therefore I ask the professionals in here.Any help appreciated. Thank you very much. February 6, 201016 yr Author I think there must be a possibility for nHancer to to the AA, just like he does in DX9 mode. But how??? Asus Rampage II Extreme X58, i7 920 @4 GHz, 12GB RAM OCZ Platinum @1.646MHz 7-7-7-20 (1T), Noctua NH-U12P SE1366, Sapphire HD-5870 Vapor-X , 30" Dell @2560x1600 pixel, SSD Intel X-25 M for OS, 1 TB WD Caviar Green for FSX, be quiet Dark Power Pro P7 650W AT, Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion + Teufel 5.1 Surround Set, LG Blu-Ray-ROM LG DVD+/-RW, Aerocool FP-01 Flip-Panel, Lian Li ARMORSUIT P60 black, Windows7 64bit Ultimate.
February 6, 201016 yr I think there must be a possibility for nHancer to to the AA, just like he does in DX9 mode. But how???The only possibility is to redesign and reprogram FSX to make FSX to work OK with DX10. Good luck.
February 6, 201016 yr Aces spent 10 minutes on the DX10 code to satisfy a contractual obligation to the community. It pretty much boils down to that. It is a flawed implementation. There is no fix. Use DX9.
February 6, 201016 yr Author Thanks for your replies so far, I know all the DX10-preview-######. But my intention to ask for a solution, is that ATI users don't have problems with running AA on DX10-mode. Also GTX-285 users have running AA in DX10-mode. So why GTX-295 cannot deal with it? February 6, 201016 yr i dont get aa with a 285 in dx10 either. i never tried it with my old crossfire 4850's because honestly they ran fsx so poorly that i very rarely even bothered with the sim.

Also GTX-285 users have running AA in DX10-mode. So why GTX-295 cannot deal with it?Apologize in advance for jumping into your comments but AA works for ATI users? That's news to me! The last thing I remember about ATI/AMD is that they refused to make a GPU for DX10 for at least a year, probably two, after DX10 came out. That's why I gave up on that company and that's why so many people today predominantly own Nvidia's GPU's. They are slowly catching up though and currently have the fastest GPU but think the new Fermi 100 chip will be the new winner.V/R,Jim

Thank you very much.Have you tried setting "enhance game AA" in the driver menu/Enhancer menu and as well as checking AA inside FSX? I have never had an issue as far as getting AA to work in DX10 Preview, its just limited to the ingame setting something that looks like 2x or maybe 4x MultiSampling.BFG 285GTX drivers 196.34 beta

The OP has a 295 and that seems to be the problem.
February 6, 201016 yr That's because you have a 285... The OP has a 295 and that seems to be the problem.Hey thanks, but I understand that.He has the same settings to chose from and it is still a relevant question for him.
February 6, 201016 yr Hey thanks, but I understand that.He has the same settings to chose from and it is still a relevant question for him.Ah, okay, I thought you didn't notice the 295 is the problem here because you said you never had a problem which is logical since you have 285. :( BTW He already said he tried the ingame FSAA ("Nore checking the internal AA mode of FSX, neither using nHancer to force AA").
February 13, 201016 yr As per Jetline Systems: "WarningThe Nvidia GeForce GTX 295 has tested to be a significantperformance inhibitor to FSX. This is due to its integrated dualGPU design. DIY builders should stay away from this card! Jetline is not offering this model due to low FSX test results."Seems the build in itself can hamper performance in FSX, but I can say, on my 285 GTX I haven "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
