How are you loading the plane? Is your FSX default flight actually the normal one with the ultralight or do you have the pre-loading some other addon? If you start the sim and go to the Create A Flight screen, what's there? If it's anything other than the FSX default with the ultralight, it's probably interfering with loading the 747.

Hi ryan when i load fsx i get the ultralight up ( when u say create a flight is that select current aircraft since i cant see that option "create a flight") than if i want to change aircraft i select current aircraft and select the aircraft in there than select location etc than i click the fly option

If it is happening once in awhile it is most likely got something to do with the way the flight is loaded. I have never seen this in a couple of years of using the 747, and don't recall this being reported exactly as you present it.

I will put in my 2 cents not being as knowledgeable as some of the forum members, last night i loaded flight sim in the way i've always loaded, from the free flight page with trike chose 747-8 loaded my flight planner and went to airport , sim started, then i chose from the PMDG load panels cold and dark as i always do, everything loaded fine loaded FMC and took off preprogrammed fl260 (using FXS IFR) was programmed up in stages held at 7000 ,13000, 20000, but when vectored to fl26 kept climbing, am telling you all this because i didn't notice it was still climbing because for the first time i had chosen failures to try a new experience 1 failure in 10 hrs, an apu fire alert (yellow) , was dealing with this when i noticed i was at 29500 and climbing nothing would change this being as it was 130 AM i chose not to deal with it and shut it down, had just flown a flawless flight with MD11 before. Must be gremlins last night loaded everything as per usual absolutly flawless flight autolanded right on numbersi don't know!
