February 20, 201016 yr Have the flight deck cold and dark now (thanks to those who ceated the LUA codes). Now, I get the engines started ok, following checklists and tutorial, but when throttles are advanced torque wont increase beyond 25%. I remove startlocks after start and get verbal confirmation from the co-pilot. What else have I missed?????????????? :(Just noticed- Throttles wont advance past 8% when using my quadrant or F3 on keyboard. I can however click and drag the trottles to full.Anybody?
February 20, 201016 yr I don't recall the max torque you should get in taxi/ground condition but I think it is more than 25%.. so the only other reason for this is you are still on star locks. Just for grins, what happens when you put her in flight condition and hit F4? Probably only 25%, and that would definitely indicate the start locks. Please sign your full name in this forum. Thanks. Thanks. When throttles are set to idle after start, torque is about 2%. Any ideas what that implies? Start locks are removed. I'm sure of it.Matt.
February 21, 201016 yr But what about Gust lock? (which isn't related to the start lock) That limits both throttles as you described, but will allow a single throttle to advance at a time (will allow you to drag one with the mouse)Gust lock lever is on the FO side on the side of the center console, would be near the FO's left leg, it is a lever you can click on to remove. Also there is a click spot in that area you can use from the captains side. Jay Vorkapic

February 22, 201016 yr Good catch Jay, I had forgotten about the gust lock. We played with that during beta too to get it just right. I guess it works! Dan Downs KCRP
February 23, 201016 yr No problemsGood thing it does limit throttle, imagine taking off with it engaged... :( Jay Vorkapic
February 23, 201016 yr The worst thing I've done is take off with pitot cover still on :( but in my defense I'd been flying this airplane ten years without one and the owner had just added it. I caught it on the first leg but the second one bit me. Darn, I hate it when that happens. RTF was in order, uneventful. Dan Downs KCRP
