Displaying memory usage while in flight

Featured Replies

Is there a way to continually display memory usage while in flight. I am trying to evaluate whether I can add anything to my present appa (FSX, SerialFP2 and Radar Contact) but do not want to do so if I am hitting my 2 gig limit. Any help would be appreciated.

There are several tools that you can find, some of the best are rather expensive (Intel software), others are free but vary in accuracy. If I remember correctly "FlusiFix" is kind of a Swiss Knife of a program will show show Memory usage right in the FSX window, but just a word of caution, it also allows tweaking of FSX on >every level and the uninitiated can really booger up FSX.

WatcherThere is also a device called a "pertelian" which is an external USB device and monitors memory and other parameters whilst in FSX. Unfortunately it does not monitor the Virtual address space usage which is probably what you want to monitor. One way to not to have to bother with any monitor is to use at least 4GB physical ram and a 64-bit OS.RegardsPeterH
