March 7, 201016 yr Hi guysJust wondering if I can ask one question about the J41. Obviously you've got the animated passengers in the back - that's great. Did you consider having an animated First Officer? I ask, because it would look great instead of the empty seat. Was this not included due to it being too FPS-intensive? Matthew Bellette
March 7, 201016 yr I think it would be too cartoonish, you are very close together in that cockpit. Dan Downs KCRP
March 7, 201016 yr ...you are very close together in that cockpit.I have to laugh...I spent so much time shoe-horned into the jumpseat. I hated it when the crew left the armrests down, because it meant 4 less inches of space for my knees. Men shouldn't have to to sit like a lady with their knees touching for 2 hours at a time. It's unnatural. Not to mention, the VCCS was all but useless when it was 95 degrees and we were single-engine taxiing. At least I didn't have to wear a polyester uniform!Anyway, we're probably getting to the point where hardware could handle a decently modeled human in the cockpit, but then hed just be sitting there like a lump. I'd rather dump the polys into other parts of the VC.
March 7, 201016 yr I remember back in the day of FS2002, the previous A320 PIC by Anticyclone had an optional FO sitting in the VC cockpit. I don't think it was that bad at all, and remember it was an FS2002 model! But seriously, if the copilot was something like the girl in the a2a Cub, and could be animated to actually move his/her hand with the controls and switches, then it would make sense. Especially if the character could follow FS2Crew workflows :(
March 7, 201016 yr The chick idea isn't bad, for a guy, but if we are going to have a cartoon I'd rather have the autopilot from Airplane. Too funny. Dan Downs KCRP
March 7, 201016 yr Commercial Member FSX really doesn't offer the ability to do this in a very convincing way without eating up a ton of resources. We aren't really into the idea of putting a cruddy blow up doll in the right seat... Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
