March 9, 201016 yr What sound card are you using, drivers up to date, sound settings match the actual speaker setup (or headphones)? "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"

Is this what you are meaning about 'fading out'? If so...then it is normal, unless you wish to remove that virtual sound cue.Mitch
March 9, 201016 yr Are you perhaps talking about some sort of 'wooshing' sound (I really do not know how to explain it properly :))? I also experience this with my Level-D 767, though not with FSX default aircraft or PMDD MD-11. I believe it has something to do with the fact that some soundpacks do not use soundcones that were implemented in FSX. It's extremely annoying because you basically lose your engine sounds although they're back after hitting Q two times. If there's anyone with a solution for this problem it would be much appreciated! Best regards, Alexander Rietveld

Is there away to remove it?

You will find multiple posters writing about their experiences here on AVSIM. Since the on-board sound card takes alot of processing power off your CPU this command helps spreading the load.It is not completely gone, but it has helped me to my satisfaction.Mennoi7, W7/644 Gb, GTS240,FSX Gold Menno i7-11700, 16GB, 1 TB SSD, 2 TB HDD, RTX 3070, Windows 11, MSFS 2020 DeLuxe, P3D 4.5

Unfortunately, this does not really solve the issue for me, though I am using affinitymask = 14.. will try using 15, but I guess that should not make a huge difference.
